National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) - Aajeevika was launched by Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) in June 2011 with Budget of $5.1 Billion, supported by World Bank with an aim to create efficient institutional platforms of rural poor, enabling them to increase household income through sustainable livelihood enhancements and improved access to financial services.
  2. Background -

    4. SGSY's Wage Employment Linked Component named Special Projects was Renamed as Aajeevika Skills when SGSY was turned into NRLM in June 2011. The New Scheme was collectively Called NRLM - Aajeevika.
    5. On September 25, 2014 = NRLM - Aajeevika was Further revamped into Deen Dayal Antayodaya Yojana National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY - NRLM). Now, Wage Employment Linked Aajeevika Skills Component of NRLM was renamed to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana.
