Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) is inviting online applications for 30 vacancies for the permanent position of Drug Inspector within State govt's Department of Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare. Candidates are advised to strictly verify their eligibility compliance regarding specialized educational qualifications and mandatory clinical or manufacturing experience before submitting their applications by the closing date of 18-02-2026.
Selected officers will be responsible for enforcing statutory regulations under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, which includes inspecting manufacturing units and ensuring the quality and safety of medicinal substances across the state.

The selection process will consist of a Written Examination followed by an Interview.
Written Examination
The written examination will be objective type and will comprise five papers, each carrying 200 marks. The duration for each paper will be 2 hours.

Candidates will be required to score the following minimum marks in the examination to be considered for selection:
- General Category / EWS: 40%
- BC-II: 36.5%
- BC-I: 34%
- SC / ST and Female: 32%
- Primitive Tribal Group: 30%
Interview
Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for an interview, which will carry 100 marks. Final merit will be based on combined performance in the test and interview.
Fee Structure :
Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -
- Unreserved / BC-I / BC-II / EWS: 600 + Bank Charges.
- SC / ST / Primitive Tribal Group of Jharkhand State: 150.
- PwBD Candidates (with at least 40% disability): Exempted from fee payment.
How to Apply :
To apply for JPSC Drug Inspector exam 2025, candidates need to follow the mentioned step-by-step process -
- Register through One Time Registration (OTR) system on official JPSC website between 29-01-2026 and 18-02-2026 (until 05:00 PM).
- Fill out the application using block letters, ensuring that details match with those in matriculation certificate.
- Upload a clear color passport-size photograph and a scanned signature in the specified OTR sections.
- Candidate must ensure that their mobile number and email ID are active during recruitment process.
- Pay the applicable examination fee online via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI by 19-02-2026 (until 05:00 PM).
- Immediately after submission, download and print two copies of the filled application form for your records.
- Send a signed hard copy of the application along with self-attested documents to the Examination Controller, JPSC, Circular Road, Ranchi, 834001, via registered or speed post. The hard copy must reach the office by 05-03-2026 (until 05:00 PM).
- Label the envelope in bold with Advertisement No. 12/2025, the post name Drug Inspector, and your OTR/Registration numbers.
- Matriculation (10th) certificate and mark sheet (for age proof).
- Intermediate (12th) certificate and mark sheet.
- Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Medicine (with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology).
- Experience certificate as per the specific requirements (18 months in manufacturing/testing or 3 years in inspection).
- Caste Certificate and Residential/Domicile Certificate, if claiming reservation.
- Disability Certificate from a Medical Board, if applicable.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) if currently a government employee.
