This test is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the appointment of Assistant Professor and for admission into the Ph.D. programs in universities and colleges located in Jharkhand. The JET (Jharkhand Eligibility Test) certificate obtained by the candidates will remain valid indefinitely for both Assistant Professor recruitment and Ph.D. admission purposes. There will be no expiration of the certificate, allowing candidates to use it anytime in the future for eligibility verification.

In addition to this, a separate test on Computer Knowledge and Operations will be conducted. This test will include 50 objective type questions for 50 marks with a duration of 1 hour. There will be no negative marking, but candidates must secure at least 30 percent marks to qualify.
