Selection Process Stages

Selection process will consist of Computer Based Test, Skill Test (where applicable), and Document Verification.

Computer Based Test

There will be 3 separate tests of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions for the posts with minimum Educational Qualification of Matriculation Level, Higher Secondary (10+2) Level, and Graduation & above levels.

  • Appearing for Exam
    • Exam details (date, time, and centre) will be available about 10 days before the exam.
    • Admit card can be downloaded 2–3 days before the exam. It must be carried during the exam.
    • Those without Aadhaar authentication must report 2 hours early with two passport-size photos and a valid photo ID proof of Date of Birth.
  • Candidates are required to select preference of three examination centres, while filing online application form.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Marks scored in CBE, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized.
  • The examination will be conducted in Hindi and English.
  • Candidates will have to select their medium (language) in the application form, and responses will be recorded accordingly.
  • Tentative Answer Keys will be published after the exam. Candidates can submit representations within the given time limit through online mode only on payment of Rs. 50 per question. Final Answer Keys will be used for result processing.

Skill Test

Skill Tests such as Typing, Data Entry, or Computer Proficiency (if required for a post) will be conducted as qualifying tests, and their marks will not be counted in final merit.

Document Verification

Detailed scrutiny of applications and documents will be carried out by the concerned participating Departments for candidates succeeding in the Computer Based Examination. Final merit will be formed after completing detailed document verification and medical examination.

Tie Breaking

In case of a tie in total score, it will be resolved by applying the prescribed criteria sequentially until the tie is broken.

  • Total Normalized Marks in Computer Based Examination

  • Marks in Part-C of Computer Based Examination
  • Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher
  • Alphabetical order in which the names of the candidates appear

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • Application fee is Rs. 100 for unreserved categories.
  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
  • Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 05-05-2026 (up to 11 PM).
  • Correction fee -
    • Corrections can be done between May 11-13, 2026.
    • Application can be corrected and re-submitted a maximum of 2 times. Fee is ₹200 for the first correction and ₹500 for the second correction.

How to Apply :

  1. Submit the application only through online mode via the official SSC website or the mySSC mobile application.
  2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC portal before applying:
    • Fresh OTR is mandatory for all candidates; old OTR will not be accepted.
    • Enter personal, contact, and identification details accurately.
    • After successful OTR, proceed to fill the application form.
    • OTR remains valid for all future SSC examinations on the new portal.
    • Aadhaar-based authentication is optional but recommended. Candidates who do not complete it -
      • Will be required to report 2 hours before exam time.
      • Will be required to upload following documents for completion of their One Time Registration (OTR) -
        • Proof of Name - viz. Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Government ID Card, Government Service Identity Card, Pension Document
        • Proof of Date of Birth - Birth Certificate, School Leaving Certificate, Certificate of Date of Birth issued by a Gazetted Officer, Aadhaar Card
        • Proof of Address - Aadhaar Card, Voter Identity Card, Driving License, A Bank Statement with an attested photograph of the applicant, Rent Agreement, Income Tax Assessment Order.

        • Proof of Gender viz. Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Birth Certificate, School Leaving Certificate.
  3. Submit separate applications for each post/category, along with separate fee payment for each.

  5. Photo and Signature Requirements:
    1. Live photograph during application:
      • Well-lit environment with plain background
      • Camera at eye level
      • Face clearly visible within frame
      • No cap, mask, or glasses
      • Clear frontal image without obstructions
    2. Upload signature in JPEG/JPG format (10–20 KB), size approx. 6.0 cm × 2.0 cm. Incorrect format/size may lead to rejection.
  6. Verify all details using the preview option before final submission. Keep a copy of the submitted application for reference.
  7. Application Fee:
    1. Rs. 100/- for General/Unreserved candidates. Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM candidates are exempted.
    2. Payment modes: BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Cards (Visa/Mastercard/RuPay).
    3. Last date for fee payment: 05-05-2026 (up to 23:00 hrs).
  8. No need to send a printed application to SSC. However, keep a printout for personal record.
  9. Application Correction:
    1. Correction window: 11-05-2026 to 13-05-2026 (up to 23:00 hrs).
    2. Maximum two corrections allowed:
      • First correction: Rs. 200/-
      • Second correction: Rs. 500/-
    3. Only the latest corrected application will be considered final; previous submissions will be cancelled.
