Bihar Police Recruitment 2025 Sub Inspector Prohibition 28 Posts Online Application

Bihar Police is inviting eligible candidates to apply online for 28 permanent posts of Sub Inspector Prohibition. Mode of Recruitment :

1. Preliminary Examination Total Marks: 200 | Questions: 100 | Duration: 2 hours
Qualifying Marks: 30% | Top candidates (15 times vacancies) proceed to the Main Exam.

2. Main Examination
Consists of two papers:

• Paper 1: 200 Marks | 100 Questions | 2 Hours | 30% Qualifying Marks
• Paper 2: Covers General Studies, Mathematics, Science, Reasoning, Hindi, and Mental Ability.

3. Negative Marking
0.2 marks deducted for each incorrect answer.

4. Physical Efficiency Test

Physical Standards

Running Test

• Male: 1.6 km in 6 min 30 sec
• Female: 1 km in required time

Jump Tests

• High Jump: Male - 4 ft | Female - 3 ft
• Long Jump: Male - 12 ft | Female - 9 ft

Shot Put

• Male: 16-pound shot put, min 16 ft
• Female: 10-pound shot put, min 12 ft

Fee Structure :

Application fee is as : Rs. 400/- for candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories of Bihar State and Rs. 700/- for all other candidates. Fee should be paid online through debit card, credit card, or net banking.

How to Apply :

By the deadline of 27-03-2025, candidates seeking the aforementioned positions may only submit an online application. Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will involve multiple stages, including a written examination and a physical efficiency test. The process will be conducted as :

1. Written Examination

• The written exam will be conducted in an objective format.
• Candidates will be required to answer multiple-choice questions.
• The exam may be conducted in multiple shifts, and the final scores will be normalized using the Equi-Percentile Method.
• The questions will be based on subjects such as General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Mathematics, General Science, and Reasoning.
• The total number of questions will be 100, each carrying one mark.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test.
• The PET will include various physical tasks such as running, long jump, and shot put.
• Candidates must meet the minimum physical standards as prescribed in the official notification.

Final selection will be based on performance in the physical efficiency test. The written test will be qualifying in nature.

Fee Structure :

Application fee of Rs 675/- (Rs 180/- for SC/ST candidates) is to be paid online using debit card, credit card or net banking.
