South Western Railway was created by amalgamating the reorganized Hubli division from South Central Railway with Bangalore & Mysore divisions of Southern Railway. This Railway has become operational from 1st of April, 2003 with its head quarter at Hubli in the state of Karnataka.
Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Hubli invites applications from candidates qualified in relevant fields for permanent absorption in Total 1299 Various Vacancies for Group D posts in various profile.

Important Dates
- Last Date Receipt of application forms with related documents : Oct 28, 2013 and (The date is Relaxed till Nov 12, 2013 for some places).
Selection Procedure
- Candidates will be selected based on Written Examination followed by Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Examination.
- Written Exam Pattern :
- Written examination will consist of objective type multiple choice question Paper of 100 marks.
- Written test Time will be 1½ Hour with questons from General Knowledge, Awareness, Mathematics, Reasoning.

Application Procedure
- The Fee for Gen & OBC is Rs.100/- and Nill for all others.
- Examination Fee should be paid in the form of crossed Indian postal Order (IPO) from any Post Office in favour of "Assistant personnel Officer/Recruitment/SWR/UBL" payable at "Hubli".
- Interested and eligible candidates may apply in the Given Format with correct mentioning all the required details and send it along with Attested copies of all related certificates such as Age, Qualification, one passport size photograph.
- Candidates should send filled application along with required Self attested Xerox copy of documents by Post before Oct 28, 2013. Last date for receipt of application forms is Relaxed Nov 11 for some far flung areas as mentioned in Official Notification.
- Super-scribe the envelope as "APPLICATION FOR ERSTWHILE GROUP-D POSTS-GRADE PAY Rs.1800/-, EMPLOYMENT NOTICE NO. 02/2013".
