ISRO's Ahmedabad-based Space Applications Centre (SAC) is inviting online applications for permanent Group A posts for a total of 49 vacancies across multiple scientific and engineering disciplines. The last date to submit the online application is 12-02-2026.
ISRO Space Applications Centre (SAC) focuses on the design and development of space borne instruments for communication, navigation, remote sensing and planetary missions of ISRO and operationalization of space technology for various applications related to national development. The proposed roles will focus on research, design, development, testing, and operational support of advanced space systems related to satellites, communication, remote sensing, and national development programmes.

The selection process will consist of Written Test and Personal Interview.
Stage 1: Written Test
The written test will be conducted as a two-part examination consisting of discipline-specific questions and aptitude-based questions. The test structure will vary based on the post code applied for. Test dates will be communicated to eligible applicants in due course, through email.

The candidates shall be given option in online application to choose centre for written examination from among 18 cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi and Thiruvananthapuram.
Based on performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for the personal interview in the ratio of 1:5, with a minimum of 10 candidates. For reserved vacancies, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 without regard to the unreserved category.

Stage 2: Personal Interview
Candidates shortlisted from the written test will be called for the personal interview. The interview will carry 100 marks.
Final Panel Generation
For preparation of the final selection panel, 50% weightage will be given to the written test marks and 50% weightage will be given to the interview marks.
- In case of a tie during final empanelment, marks secured in the written test will be considered first.
- If the tie still persists, marks secured in the essential qualification as notified in the advertisement will be considered.
- If the tie remains unresolved, the candidate older in age (earlier date of birth) will be placed higher in merit.
Fee Structure :
Applicable application fee is to be paid online through the designated payment gateway. The fee and related conditions are summarized below:
- No application fee is applicable for Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’ posts (Post Code 01–03).
- Candidates applying for Post Code 07 (SAC/ISRO) and Post Code 08 (NESAC) must submit two separate applications and pay the fee separately for each post.
- Candidates applying for more than one post must select the same examination city for the written test.
- All applicants are required to initially pay ₹750/- as application fee. Women, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from application fee and will receive full refund after appearing in the written test.
- Other candidates will be refunded ₹500/- after deduction of ₹250/- as application fee, subject to appearing in the written test. Refund will be processed only for candidates who appear in the written examination.
- Payment will be accepted only through online modes such as Net Banking, UPI, Credit Card or Debit Card.
- After successful payment, candidates will receive confirmation SMS on the registered mobile number and payment receipt on the registered email ID.
- Application can be submitted only once; after final submission, no corrections will be allowed.
How to Apply :
Candidates must apply online only by following the steps given below as per the official notification.
- Complete the online registration by entering basic details. After registration, an online Registration Number will be generated, which must be preserved for future reference.
- After registration, proceed to fill the online application form using the registration credentials. Fill all personal details, communication address, category details and educational qualifications correctly as per certificates. Email ID must be entered correctly, as all future communication including e-admit card for written test and personal interview will be sent through email only.
- Upload scanned copies of required documents in the prescribed format and size.
- Upload recent colour passport size photograph in jpg/jpeg format only, not older than 6 months, with maximum size of 1 MB and dimensions of 500 pixels width × 500 pixels height.
- Upload signature in jpg/jpeg format only, with maximum size of 1 MB and dimensions of 700 pixels width × 200 pixels height.
- Upload all essential qualification certificates in pdf format with maximum file size of 1 MB
- Upload valid category certificate, PwBD certificate or Ex-Servicemen discharge certificate in pdf format with maximum size of 1 MB, wherever applicable.
- Photograph must be clear with full frontal face visible, plain or white background, and without cap or goggles. Selfie photographs are not allowed.
- Black and white photographs are not permitted. Uploaded photograph and signature must be clear and legible.
- Select the examination city for the written test as preferred.
- Pay the application fee online category-wise as applicable. The fee will be refunded as per the prescribed refund terms after appearing in the written test.
- Before final submission, verify all entered details carefully as editing will not be allowed after submission. Submit the online application on or before 12-02-2026 (05:00 PM).
- After successful submission, download and save a copy of the final submitted application for future reference. No hard copy or printed application is required to be sent to Space Applications Centre (SAC), ISRO at this stage.
