Reserve Bank of India has invited applications for Grade B Officers ) posts on permanent basis, with a total of 60 vacancies across General, DEPR, and DSIM streams. The last date to apply online is 20-05-2026 (till 06:00 PM), and candidates must ensure that they meet all eligibility criteria before submitting the application.

These posts involve policy-making, economic analysis, financial regulation, data analysis, and administrative responsibilities within the central banking system, where selected candidates contribute to managing monetary policy, research, and statistical operations of the country.

  • Candidates from all states can apply
  • Required qualification must be completed as on last date of online appliation
  • Candidates can apply for only one stream among DEPR or DSIM. Application for General stream can be filed separately
  • Candidates belonging to General Category/EWS, who have already appeared Six times for Phase-I Examination for this post (s) in the past, are not eligible to apply. No such restriction applies to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD, if the posts are reserved for them.

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will consist of Phase-I (Online Examination), Phase-II (Online/Written Examination), and Interview.

Phase-I: Online Examination

Phase 1 exam will be an objective type screening test. It will consist of multiple sections including General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. The examination will be conducted online. Marks obtained in this phase will not be counted for final merit and will only be used for shortlisting candidates for Phase-II.

Phase 1 test will carry 200 marks, with duration of 2 Hours. Minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the bank later.

Phase-II: Online/Written Examination

This stage will be post-specific and will carry weightage for final selection. Candidates will have to appear in all papers prescribed for their respective post.

  • Paper-I & Paper-III will have 30 objective questions for 50 marks (mix of 1 and 2 marks)
  • Descriptive section will have 6 questions
  • Candidates will be required to attempt 4 questions
  • Out of 4: 2 questions of 15 marks and 2 questions of 10 marks
  • If more than 4 questions are attempted, only the first 4 will be evaluated

Interview

Candidates shortlisted after Phase-II will be called for the Interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Phase-II and Interview, subject to passing document verification and medical exam.

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • SC/ST/PwBD: ₹100/- + 18% GST (Intimation Charges only)
  • GEN/OBC/EWS: ₹850/- + 18% GST (Application Fee including Intimation Charges)
  • RBI Staff Candidates: Nil

Applications will be submitted online for RBI Grade B Officers recruitment 2026, as per following step-by-step process.

  1. Register on the portal using basic details and generate login credentials.
  2. Login with registration details and dill the application form with personal, educational, and other required details carefully. Verify all details before submission.
  3. Upload required documents as per prescribed specifications:

      • File size: 20 KB to 50 KB
      • Format: JPG/JPEG
    • Signature:
      • Sign on white paper with black ink
      • Dimensions: 140 x 60 pixels

    • Left Thumb Impression:
      • Use blue or black ink on white paper

  4. Select exam centre preferences and medium of examination.
  5. Pay the application fee online, applicable as per category. Submit the application form.
  6. Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference. It is not required to send the printout to Reserve Bank of India at this stage.
  7. If multiple applications are submitted, only the latest complete application (with higher Registration ID) will be considered.
  8. Edit/correction window will be available for 2 days after 20-05-2026. Only the following fields can be edited:
    • Exam centre
    • Medium of exam
    • Father’s name
    • Mother’s name
    • 10th and 12th marks/percentage
  9. No documents are required to be sent at the time of application. All certificates will be verified later at the Interview stage.
  10. For any issues related to application form, fee payment, or admit card, candidates can raise queries through the official grievance portal and must mention “RBI Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - GENERAL/DEPR/DSIM – PY 2026” in the subject.
