RBI Recruitment 2026 - 572 Office Attendants Posts

Reserve Bank of India is inviting online applications for permanent recruitment to 572 posts of Office Attendant at RBI offices across the country. Interested candidates must submit their applications by the last date of 04-02-2026 and are advised to carefully verify that they meet all eligibility requirements before applying. Tentative date of Online Test for RBI Office Attendants Recruitment 2026 is February 28 & March 01, 2026.

The post of Office Attendant is a Class IV position, and the role broadly involves physical movement and handling of files, records, office materials, and utility items, along with duties such as delivery of documents, opening and closing of sections or departments, photocopying, assisting in routine non-clerical tasks, and performing any other work assigned by senior officials as per operational requirements.

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will consist of Online Test, followed by Language Proficiency Test.

Online Test

The Online Test will be conducted at various examination centres as decided by the Bank, which can be seen here. The test will be objective in nature and will be conducted online. Candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage based on their performance in this test.

  • Negative marking will be applicable in the online test, with one-fourth marks deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Candidates will be required to qualify separately in each section of the online test.
  • If the test is conducted in multiple sessions, scores will be normalised using the equi-percentile method.
  • Minimum qualifying marks will be decided later on by the bank.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Candidates shortlisted from the Online Test will be required to appear for a Language Proficiency Test in the local language of the State or Union Territory applied for. The Language Proficiency Test will be mandatory and qualifying in nature. Candidates who do not qualify the Language Proficiency Test will not be considered for final selection, irrespective of their performance in the Online Test.

Final Merit

Final selection will be based on online test performance, qualifying in the Language Proficiency Test, medical fitness, and document verification.

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: ₹50 plus 18% GST (intimation charges only)
  • General / OBC / EWS: ₹450 plus 18% GST (application fee including intimation charges)

    • Written in English on white paper using black ink

    • Text - “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

Step 3: Online Registration

  1. Open the IBPS online application form for Office Attendant recruitment.
  2. Complete new registration by entering name, mobile number and email ID.
  3. A provisional registration number and password will be generated and sent via email and SMS.

Step 4: Filling the Application Form

  1. Log in using the registration number and password.
  2. Fill personal details, category, nationality, address and educational qualifications carefully.
  3. Upload photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration as per specifications.
  4. DigiLocker option will be available and may be used voluntarily to provide Aadhaar and educational documents.
  5. Use the save and next option to review all details before final submission.

Step 5: Payment of Application Fee

  1. Pay the applicable application fee online only.
  2. Payment can be made through debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS or mobile wallet.
  3. Wait for payment confirmation and e-receipt generation.
  4. Do not press back or refresh during the payment process.

Step 6: Final Submission

  1. After successful payment, submit the application form latest by 04-02-2026.
  2. No printed copy of the application form or documents is required to be sent to Reserve Bank of India.
  3. Download and keep a copy of the submitted application form and e-receipt for future reference.
Edit Window
  1. An edit window will be provided after the application closing date. Dates for edit window will be notified later.
  2. Only limited fields can be corrected and only once, including Exam Centre Preferences, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name and 10th / 12th Percentage.
  3. Correction fee of ₹200 (inclusive of GST) will be applicable.
  4. Only the latest edited application will be treated as valid.
  5. Incomplete applications, incorrect uploads or false information may lead to rejection at any stage.
