CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) is inviting applications for 50 permanent technician positions under Advertisement No. 01/2026. Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process will consist of a Trade Test followed by a Competitive Written Examination.
Stage I: Trade Test
Candidates will be shortlisted for a Trade Test based on their academic credentials and experience. This test will be qualifying in nature and will assess practical knowledge in relevant trade. Only those candidates who qualify the Trade Test will be invited for the Competitive Written Examination.
Stage II: Competitive Written Examination
The examination will consist of three papers, where Paper II and Paper III will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure minimum threshold marks in Paper I.

- Final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the marks obtained in Paper-II and Paper-III.
- The Trade Test and Competitive Written Examination will be conducted in Hyderabad/Secunderabad.
- Questions will be set in both Hindi and English, except for the English Language section.
- The level of the questions will be based on SSC/10th Standard + ITI / XII Standard.
Fee Structure :
Applicants must pay an application fee of Rs 500 through State Bank Collect while completing the online application process. After successful payment, the generated transaction/UTR number must be entered in the application form. Candidates should also upload the e-receipt wherever required and keep a copy safely for future reference. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-Servicemen categories are completely exempted from paying any application fee.
How to Apply :
CSIR-CCMB recruitment applications must be completed through online submission first, and candidates are also required to send a signed hard copy of the application to the institute within the prescribed timeline. The application process is given below:
- Candidates must submit their application through the online recruitment portal of CSIR-CCMB, on or before 23-02-2026.
- After successful online submission, candidates must take a printout of the completed application form and carefully note the Application Number for future reference.
- An application fee of Rs. 500/- is applicable for candidates belonging to UR, OBC (NCL), and EWS categories. Women candidates, as well as those belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen categories, are exempted from payment of the application fee. The fee must be paid online through State Bank Collect.
- After submitting the online form, candidates must send a duly signed hard copy of the application to CSIR-CCMB as mandatory requirement. The hard copy of the application must reach the institute on or before 02-03-2026 up to 06:00 PM.
- The envelope containing the application must be clearly superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TECHNICIAN UNDER ADVT 01/2026 (Post Code: ___)”.
- Candidates should keep one copy of the submitted application for their own future use.

- Self-attested copies of mark sheets, certificates, testimonials, proof of age, and fee receipt copy (if applicable).
- Educational qualification documents, category certificate, and experience certificates (if applicable).
- One recent passport-size self-signed photograph affixed on the hard copy application.
- Only one application per candidate will be accepted for each postcode. If multiple applications are submitted for the same postcode, only the most recent completed application will be considered.
- Candidates may apply for multiple postcodes, but a separate online application form and a separate hard copy submission is required for each post.
