CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) is inviting online applications for 30 permanent posts of Technical Assistants and Technical Officers under Advt 02/2026, with last date of application being 23-02-2026. Candidates must thoroughly verify their eligibility compliance and ensure they possess the required qualifications before applying.

Hyderabad-based CSIR constituent unit, Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CSIR-CCMB), is involved in conducting high-quality basic research and training in multidisciplinary areas of modern biology.

Technical Assistant (Post Code: TA-04) 04 Diploma in Electronics Engineering/Technology (3 years full-time or 2 years lateral entry) with minimum 60% marks and 2 years experience in the relevant area.
Technical Assistant (Post Code: TA-05) 02 Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering/Technology (3 years full-time or 2 years lateral entry) with minimum 60% marks and 2 years experience in the relevant area.
Technical Officer (Post Code: TO-01) 01 Maximum 30 years M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Zoology, or Life Sciences with minimum 55% marks. Pay Level-07 (Approx. Rs. 90,100/- per month)
Technical Officer (Post Code: TO-02) 01 M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Zoology, or Life Sciences with minimum 55% marks.
Technical Officer (Post Code: TO-03) 01 M.Sc. in Bioinformatics OR B.E./B.Tech in Bioinformatics, Computer Science Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering with minimum 55% marks.

Age Limit Relaxation
  • SC/ST candidates: Up to 5 years (only for reserved posts).
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates: Up to 3 years (only for reserved posts).
  • PwBD candidates: Up to 10 years (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC).
  • CSIR Employees: Up to 5 years.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Service rendered + 3 years.

Mode of Recruitment :

Selection process will consist of a Trade Test followed by a Competitive Written Examination.

Stage I: Trade Test

Candidates shortlisted by the Screening Committee will first undergo a Trade Test in the relevant field or subject. This test will be qualifying in nature, designed to assess the practical knowledge and skills required for the specific post code. Only those candidates who qualify in the Trade Test will be invited to appear for the Competitive Written Examination.

Stage II: Competitive Written Examination

Written Examination will have 3 papers, with pattern as shown :

Paper II and Paper III will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the Selection Committee) in Paper I. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in Paper II and Paper III combined.

  • Questions will be set both in English and Hindi, except for the English Language paper.
  • Standard of Exam: For Technical Assistant, the level will be Diploma/Graduation. For Technical Officer, the level will be Post Graduate/B.E./B.Tech.

Fee Structure :

Candidates are required to pay application fee of Rs 500 through State Bank Collect, while submitting the online application, and the transaction/UTR number generated after successful payment must be entered in the form. The e-receipt should also be uploaded (where applicable) and preserved for future reference.

However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-Servicemen categories are fully exempted from paying the application fee.

How to Apply :

CSIR-CCMB recruitment applications must be submitted online first, followed by sending a signed hard copy to the institute. The application process is as follows:

  1. Online Application Submission
    1. Candidates must apply through the online application form available on the CSIR-CCMB recruitment portal. The online application window will close on 23-02-2026.
    2. After submitting the online form, candidates should take a printout of the completed application and note down the Application Number for future reference.
  2. Application Fee Details
    1. An application fee of Rs. 500/- is applicable for UR, OBC (NCL), and EWS candidates.
    2. Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
    3. Applications without the prescribed fee (where applicable) will not be considered. It must be paid online through State Bank Collect.
  3. Hard Copy Submission (Mandatory)
    1. Candidates must send a duly signed hard copy of the online application to CSIR-CCMB.
    2. The hard copy must reach CSIR-CCMB on or before 02-03-2026 up to 06:00 PM.
    3. The envelope must be superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ____ UNDER ADVT 02/2026 (Post Code: ___)”.
    4. Candidates should keep one copy of the submitted application for their own future use.
  4. Documents to be Attached with Hard Copy
    1. Self-attested copies of mark sheets, certificates, testimonials, and proof of age must be enclosed.
    2. Educational qualification documents and experience certificates (if applicable) must also be attached.
    3. Category certificate (if applicable) must be provided.
    4. One recent passport-size self-signed photograph must be affixed on the hard copy application.
    5. Fee Recript copy (If applicable).
  5. Application Rules for Multiple Posts
    1. Only one application per candidate will be accepted for each postcode.
    2. If multiple applications are submitted for the same postcode, only the most recent completed application will be considered.
    3. Candidates may apply for multiple postcodes, but a separate online form and separate hard copy submission is required for each post.
