Haryana SSC Recruitment 2026 Constable (Police department) 5500 Posts Online Application
Haryana Staff Selection Commission (Haryana SSC) has invited online applications for permanent recruitment to 5500 Constable posts (CET Phase-II) under Haryana Police Department. The last date to submit the online application form is 25-01-2026. Candidates are advised to carefully check their eligibility and compliance with all conditions before applying.
The recruitment is being conducted for permanent Constable posts in the Haryana Police Department, including Male Constable (General Duty), Female Constable (General Duty), and Male Constable (Government Railway Police). Selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining law and order, assisting in public safety duties, performing patrol and operational tasks, and supporting departmental functions as assigned.
Note that candidates who have qualified the Group-C Common Eligibility Test (CET) are only eligible to apply for these posts under Haryana Police.

Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process will consist of shortlisting based on CET merit, Physical Measurement Test, Physical Screening Test, Knowledge Test, and preparation of final merit list.
Stage 1: Shortlisting through CET
Haryana Staff Selection Commission will shortlist candidates on the basis of merit obtained in the Group-C Common Eligibility Test (CET). Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Physical Measurement Test.
Stage 2: Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
Candidates shortlisted through CET will appear for the Physical Measurement Test. This stage will be qualifying in nature only. Candidates who do not meet the prescribed physical standards will be eliminated from further stages of the selection process.

Stage 3: Physical Screening Test (PST)
Candidates who qualify the Physical Measurement Test will appear for the Physical Screening Test to assess physical fitness and endurance. This test will also be qualifying in nature only.

Stage 4: Knowledge Test
Candidates who qualify both PMT and PST will be shortlisted for the Knowledge Test (10 times number of vacancies). This test will carry 97 percent weightage and will consist of objective type multiple-choice questions. The examination will be bilingual in English and Hindi and conducted in offline mode using OMR sheets. Candidates of General category will be required to secure at least 50 percent marks, while candidates of reserved categories will be required to secure at least 40 percent marks.
Candidates appearing for the Knowledge Test will be eligible for additional weightage of a maximum of 03 marks, as applicable.
- Candidates possessing NCC Certificate A level will be awarded 01 additional mark.
- Candidates possessing NCC Certificate B level will be awarded 02 additional marks.
- Candidates possessing NCC Certificate C level will be awarded 03 additional marks.
Knowledge Test will include questions from General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, General Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, Numerical Ability, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and other relevant subjects. At least 10 percent questions will be from basic computer knowledge and at least 20 percent questions will be related to GK about Haryana. The question level will be based on the 10+2 standard.
There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. However, each unattempted question will attract a penalty of 0.97 marks if the fifth option is not marked. So make sure to mark the 5th option if the candidate does not wish to attempt a question.
Stage 5: Preparation of Final Merit List
The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the Knowledge Test along with applicable additional weightage, such as NCC certificate marks. Candidates will be recommended for appointment according to merit and category-wise vacancies.

- Only candidates who have qualified the Group-C Common Eligibility Test (CET) will be eligible to apply for these posts.
- Candidates will fill all required personal, educational, category, and CET-related details carefully in the online application form. All details must match the original documents.
- Candidates will upload scanned copies of mandatory documents, including educational qualification certificates, Aadhaar card, and category certificates if applicable.
- A recent coloured passport size photograph with white background will be uploaded. The photograph must clearly display the candidate’s name and date on it.
- A clear scanned signature of the candidate will be uploaded as per the prescribed format.
- Candidates will review all entered information carefully before final submission, as no correction or modification will be allowed after submission.
- After successful submission, candidates should download and save a copy of the submitted online application form and uploaded documents for future reference.
- Candidates are not required to send a printed copy of the application form to Haryana Staff Selection Commission at this stage.
