- Manipur Government launched Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) a health assurance scheme for poor and disabled people in January 2018.
- CMHT scheme will provide cashless treatment to poor at government hospitals, health centres and other empanelled selected private hospitals.
- CMHT will provide cover of up to Rs 2 lakh per eligible family identified from the Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) in treatment of 7 critical ailments - cardiovascular diseases, kidney ailments, neurological conditions, liver ailments, cancer, neo-natal diseases and burns per year.
- Eligible persons will also get hospitalization medical cover of up to Rs 50,000 for other diseases.
- Beneficiaries may enroll with help of ASHA workers at the kiosks opened in nearby PHCs, CHCs and district hospitals.
- CMHT will consider even those families whose names are not in the deprivation list of SECC data.
- CMHT will have convergence with programme sponsored by Central Government's Jana Aushadhi Programme and Free Diagnostic Programme.
- CMHT will be a completely IT platform driven scheme.
- During launch of this Scheme, State Govt also launched 10 advanced life support ambulances, that are equipped enough to act as mobile ICUs.
