Government Jobs in defence have always been a center of attraction for youngsters due to nature of job and high amount of perks offered by them. A large number of candidates are inducted every year through various entrance exams into Indian armed forces (Army, Navy and Air Force). There are various types of entries offered through various entrance exams.
UPSC Conducts Two phases of each of NDA (National Defence Academy) and CDS (Combined Defence Services) exams each year for Intermediate pass and Graduates respectively. There are various Recruitment rallies and other recruitment exercise conducted by the respective departments as the need arrives.
UPSC also conducts Civil services exams through which top Police Officials are appointed. State police departments also keep recruiting candidates at Constables, Sub Inspectors levels as need arrives.
