Mode of Recruitment :
Selection will be based purely on merit and the choice of Ordnance Factory submitted by the candidate. The merit list will be prepared separately for Ex-ITI and Non-ITI candidates.
Merit Criteria for Non-ITI Candidates
The merit list will be prepared factory-wise based on the percentage of marks obtained in Class 10th (Matriculation or equivalent). The aggregate of all subjects or best of five subjects will be considered as per the rules of the concerned education board.
Merit Criteria for Ex-ITI Candidates
The merit list will be prepared factory-wise and trade-wise based on the simple average of marks obtained in Class 10th (Matriculation) & ITI examination. A minimum of 50% marks in both Matriculation and ITI will be required.
If a candidate has obtained Class 10 result in CGPA/GPA or grade format, marks (percentage) must be entered in the application form and not CGPA. Conversion must be done as per the concerned 10th board criteria. If the board does not provide any conversion formula, or if the candidate enters CGPA instead of marks, the percentage will be calculated using the standard formula (CGPA × 9.5). In case the Class 10 result is declared in grades such as A+, A, B+, B, C+ or C, and no official conversion rule is available, the following table shall be used for conversion. The percentage obtained will be considered for preparation of the merit list.
| Grade | Range of Marks | Percentage |
|---|---|---|
| A+ | 90 – 100 | 95% |
| A | 80 – 89 | 84.5% |
| B+ | 70 – 79 | 74.5% |
| B | 60 – 69 | 64.5% |
| C+ | 50 – 59 | 54.5% |
| C | 40 – 49 | 44.5% |
