UCSL Recruitment 2026 Manager, Deputy Manager and Various 13 Posts Online Application

Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited, is inviting online applications from eligible candidates to fill 13 Managerial positions on permanent basis.

Interested candidates must ensure they meet all educational and experience requirements before applying, as the roles involve specialized managerial responsibilities in areas such as engineering, electrical outfitting, quality control, and materials management within the shipbuilding and ship repair industry. Vacancies & Eligibility Criteria:

Assistant General Manager (Engineering) 2 50 Years Degree in Mechanical or Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering (min 60% marks). Minimum 15 years post-qualification managerial experience in Shipbuilding, Ship repair, or related industries.

E5 (80000-220000)

Initial salary will be approx ₹ 1,65,440 per month

Senior Manager (Electrical) 1 40 Years Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (min 60% marks). Minimum 12 years post-qualification managerial experience in Shipbuilding or related industries.

E4 (70000-200000)

Initial salary will be approx ₹ 1,44,760 per month

Manager (Mechanical) 2 40 Years Degree in Mechanical or Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering (min 60% marks). Minimum 9 years post-qualification managerial experience in Shipbuilding or related industries.

E3 (60000-180000)

Initial salary will be approx ₹ 1,24,080 per month

Manager (Electrical) 1 40 Years Degree in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (min 60% marks). Minimum 9 years post-qualification managerial experience in Shipbuilding or related industries.

E3 (60000-180000)

Initial salary will be approx ₹ 1,24,080 per month

Manager (Materials) 1 40 Years Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering (min 60% marks). Minimum 9 years post-qualification managerial experience in Shipbuilding or related industries.

Manager (QC) 1 40 Years Degree in Mechanical Engineering (min 60% marks) and NDT Level 2 certification. Minimum 9 years post-qualification managerial experience in Shipbuilding or related industries.

Deputy Manager (Mechanical) 4 35 Years Degree in Mechanical or Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering (min 60% marks). Minimum 7 years post-qualification managerial experience in Shipbuilding or related industries.

E2 (50000-160000)

Initial salary will be approx ₹ 1,03,400 per month

Deputy Manager (HSE) 1 35 Years Degree in any branch of Engineering/Technology and a Diploma in Industrial/Fire Safety (Diploma not required if Degree is in Safety Engineering). Minimum 7 years post-qualification managerial experience in Shipbuilding or related industries.

E2 (50000-160000)

 

Initial salary will be approx ₹ 1,03,400 per month

Age Relaxation:
  • 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and 5 years for SC candidates in reserved posts.
  • Ex-servicemen: 10 years for Senior Manager/Manager/Deputy Manager and 5 years for AGM.
  • Maximum age after all relaxations: AGM (55 years), SM/Manager (50 years), DM (45 years).
Notes:
  • Employment Type: These are posts on permanent rolls of Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited.
  • Applicants should not submit more than one application.

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will consist of a Power Point Presentation, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.

Stage 1: Shortlisting and Power Point Presentation

UCSL will scrutinize applications to shortlist candidates meeting the eligibility requirements based on submitted certificates. Shortlisted candidates will be required to deliver a Power Point Presentation highlighting their work experience with a duration of no more than 10 minutes. The selection committee will assess the work experience based on these documents and the presentation.

Stage 2: Group Discussion and Personal Interview

Based on the Power Point Presentation, candidates will be further shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Weightage will be as under :

Power Point Presentation on work experience 30 marks
Group Discussion 10 marks
Personal Interview 20 marks
Total 100 Marks

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • General and OBC candidates: ₹ 1000 (bank charges extra).
  • SC / ST candidates are Exempted from payment of application fee.

How to Apply :

  1. The application process has two phases:
    1. One-time Registration on the SAP Online Portal.
    2. Submission of the online application for the applicable post.
  2. Upload all required documents properly, including proof of:
    1. Age
    2. Educational Qualification
    3. Experience
    4. Caste (if applicable)
    5. Recent passport-size colour photograph
  3. Fill in all entries carefully. After final submission, no changes or corrections in the application data can be made.
  4. After successful submission, check that the application status shows “In Process” under My Applications to confirm completion.
  5. After applying, keep a soft copy/printout of the submitted application for future reference, along with the unique registration number generated by the system. There is no need to send the application printout at this stage.
