Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2025 Court Master (Shorthand) 30 Posts Online Application

Supreme Court of India is inviting applications from eligible candidates for 30 permanent posts of Court Master (Shorthand). Online applications must be submitted before 15-09-2025 after confirming eligibility.

Mode of Recruitment :

The scheme of examination will consist of four stages. The first stage is the Shorthand (English) Test at 120 words per minute for 7 minutes, with 45 minutes for transcription. A maximum of 5 percent mistakes is allowed, and marks will be graded accordingly. The test carries 100 marks with 50 as the qualifying minimum.

The second stage is an Objective Type Written Test of 100 questions covering General English, General Knowledge, Judiciary provisions in the Constitution, Supreme Court Rules 2013, and Computer knowledge. It carries 100 marks with a minimum of 50 marks for general candidates and 45 for reserved categories. The duration of this paper will be 2 hours.

The third stage is the Typing Speed Test on a computer with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute. General category candidates can make up to 2 percent mistakes while reserved category candidates are allowed 3 percent. The test carries 20 marks with qualifying marks of 10 for general candidates and 5 for reserved categories. The duration is 10 minutes.

The final stage is the Interview carrying 30 marks.

Fee Structure :

Application fee is Rs 750/- for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen/Persons with Disabilities/Dependent of Freedom Fighter candidates and Rs 1500/- for other candidates. Fees can be paid online using debit card, credit card, net banking.
