Project DescriptionThis project focuses on protecting the Caracal, a rare and beautiful wild cat found in the desert areas of Rajasthan. By using hidden cameras to see where they live and talking with local families, the research aims to find ways for people and these wild cats to live safely together. This research is funded by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC), Govt. of India to create a helpful plan that ensures these special cats have a secure home in the wild for many years to come.

  • Project Associate-I (Ecology Component) (01) : M.Sc. or equivalent in Life Sciences/Environmental Sciences (Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Conservation Biology, Forestry, Ecology, Environmental Studies, or allied disciplines) with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
  • Project Associate-I (Social Component) (01) : M.Sc. or equivalent in Life Sciences/Environmental Sciences (Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Conservation Biology, Forestry, Ecology, Environmental Studies, or allied disciplines) with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
Monthly Salary
  • Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA (for CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualified)
  • Rs. 30,000/- per month + HRA (for non-NET/GATE qualified)
Age Limitmaximum 35 years as on 15-02-2026
Selection ProcessThe selection process will consist of initial shortlisting based on academic qualifications, followed by an interview.
