Project DescriptionThis project focuses on finding tiny packages called extracellular vesicles that bacteria release during lung infections. By identifying specific antigens and markers inside these packages, the medical research into respiratory health aims to develop better ways to detect and treat pneumonia. This research is funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to ensure that hospitals have the best tools to fight serious bacterial infections. The goal is to provide a better treatment for our health systems by using microbiology and cell biology at RGCB to unlock the secrets of how bacteria hide in the body, helping the whole community stay safe from lung disease.
DurationInitially 1 year or till project termination, extendable based on performance

  • Three-year graduate in a relevant field + three years of experience OR
  • Post-graduation in Life Sciences/Microbiology/Cell Biology/Immunology.
Monthly SalaryRs 28,000/- per month + 20% HRA
