Selection Mode:
Selection process will involve an initial scrutiny of all applications to identify eligible candidates. Shortlisted applicants will be assigned a test coverage task to evaluate their news gathering and technical skills. Following this, an interview will be conducted where original documents and equipment ownership will be verified. A selection committee will assess the quality of the test assignment and performance during the interaction. Final selection depends on a weighted score combining academic records, professional background, and interview performance. Candidates will be selected for empanelment across various districts based on the final merit list. Only those who successfully clear all stages will be included in the official panel for Doordarshan Kendra Vijayawada.
Fee Structure :
A non-refundable processing fee of ₹1,180 (inclusive of GST) must be paid via Demand Draft. The draft should be made in favor of "DDO/ DDK, Vijayawada" and be payable at Vijayawada.
How to Apply :
Eligible candidates should submit applications in the standard format to the specified address by 20-02-2026. It is necessary to provide three copies of the application along with two sets of supporting documents to be considered.
- Select one specific district in Andhra Pradesh for which the application is being submitted.
- Complete the prescribed application form in triplicate (three sets).
- Attach a Demand Draft for the required fee amount with the application package.
- Include two sets of self-attested photocopies of academic and technical certificates.
- Provide proof of equipment ownership, such as cameras and vehicles, and experience certificates.
- Place all documents and the fee draft in a sealed envelope.
- Write "Empanelment of Stringers of DD News- 2026" clearly on top of the envelope.
- Send the package via post or deliver it by hand to the Head of News at Doordarshan Kendra Vijayawada.
- Ensure the application reaches the venue by 5:00 PM on 20-02-2026.
