Maharatna PSU and India’s largest power conglomerate, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC Limited), has invited online applications for 515 Engineering Executive Trainee (EET) posts in various disciplines on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 performance. The last date to apply online is 25-02-2026. Candidates are advised to carefully check the eligibility criteria and ensure full compliance before submitting the application form.
These posts involve technical responsibilities in core engineering areas across various disciplines, supporting NTPC’s large-scale power generation and infrastructure operations throughout India.

Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process will comprise of Shortlisting on the basis of GATE-2025 Qualification, Document Verification, and Formation of Merit List.
Eligible candidates must have appeared for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 and must have qualified it in concerned trade. Only GATE 2025 marks will be valid for the NTPC EET recruitment process. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification as per the selection process requirements.
On the basis of GATE 2025 Merit, Candidates will be extended Offer of Appointment. There will be no Interview.
Fee Structure :
- Application Fee -
- General/EWS/OBC candidates must pay Rs. 500/- (Non-refundable).
- SC/ST/PwBD/XSM category and female candidates are exempted from payment.
- Payment Modes :
- Offline - Fee can be deposited at any SBI branch using the pay-in-slip, in SBI Account 30987919993 (CAG Branch, New Delhi). Bank will provide Journal Number & Branch Code which will be needed to be fed into online form.
- Online Payment - Payment can also be made through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card.
How to Apply :
Apply for NTPC EET-2025 by following the steps mentioned below -
- Application is to be submitted only through NTPC careers portal. A valid GATE-2025 registration number is mandatory for filling the application form.
- All information must be entered carefully, especially details matching the GATE-2025 score card.
- All required documents must be uploaded during the application process.
- If an application fee is applicable, it must be paid through the payment modes detailed above (online or offline as prescribed).
- After successful submission, the system will generate a unique application number. The application slip must be downloaded after submission and kept safely for future reference.
- No printed copy of the application slip is required to be sent to NTPC at this stage, however, a printout may be kept for personal record.
- Required documents include -
- Class X certificate/marksheet (Name and DOB proof)
- PAN Card
- scanned copy of original GATE 2025 score card
- Engineering degree certificate / final year/consolidated marksheet or transcript showing aggregate percentage marks
- Valid caste/EWS certificate in prescribed format for FY 2025-26 (If applicable)
- Passport size photograph with white background not older than 06 months.
- No correction or change request will be entertained after successful submission, therefore all details must be checked before final submission.
