NPCIL 330 Executive Trainees Recruitment 2026 - Complete Details

Mumbai based Miniratna PSU Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) is inviting online applications for 300 permanent Executive Trainee posts through GATE 2024/2025/2026. The last date to apply is 30-04-2026.

These posts are for Executive Trainees in engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, and Civil, where selected candidates undergo training and are later appointed in technical and operational roles within nuclear power projects and associated functions.

Maximum: 26 Years (UR/EWS) BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) or 5-year Integrated M.Tech with minimum 60% marks in relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institute.

Valid GATE 2024 / 2025 / 2026 score in the same engineering discipline is mandatory.

During Training: ₹74,000/- per month stipend + ₹30,000/- one-time book allowance.

After Training: Scientific Officer/C (Level 10) – ₹56,100/- + allowances. Inhand salary will be approx Rs 1 Lakh upon completion of 1 year training.

Other Conditions
  • Final year candidates are eligible, provided final result with required marks is submitted by 30-11-2026
  • Candidate can apply only for one discipline/post based on GATE subject
  • Selected candidates must complete a one-year orientation training program at a designated location -
    • Candidates in Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) stream will undergo this training at any one of NPCIL’s nuclear training centers.
    • Candidates in Light Water Reactor (LWR) stream will complete their one-year orientation at the Nuclear Training Centre located at Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP), Tamil Nadu.
  • Service bond worth Rs 9,18,000 will be needed to signed, to serve the corporation for minimum 3 years.

Interviews will be held During June 8-19, 2026 (At Anushaktinagar (Mumbai), Narora Atomic Power Station (NAPS) in Uttar Pradesh, Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS) in Tamil Nadu, and Kaiga Generating Station (KGS) in Karnataka)

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will consist of shortlisting based on GATE score followed by Personal Interview. Candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview based on valid GATE 2024 / 2025 / 2026 scores. Shortlisting will be done discipline-wise and category-wise in the ratio of 1:12. In case multiple candidates have the same cut-off marks, all such candidates will be shortlisted.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview. The interview will be conducted at centers including Anushaktinagar (Mumbai, Maharashtra), Narora Atomic Power Station (Uttar Pradesh), Madras Atomic Power Station (Tamil Nadu), and Kaiga Generating Station (Karnataka).

Final selection will be based on performance in Personal Interview, subject to medical fitness. GATE score will not carry any weightage in final selection. Minimum qualifying marks in interview will be 70% for UR category and 60% for reserved categories. A wait list will also be prepared discipline-wise and category-wise, which will remain valid up to 21-09-2026.

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • General / EWS / OBC (NCL) Male candidates: ₹500/-
  • SC / ST / Female / PwBD /NPCIL employees : Nil

How to Apply :

The online application process should be completed carefully by following each step such as registration, filling details, uploading documents, and fee payment within the specified dates.

  1. Before Applying
    • Ensure that the eligibility criteria are checked thoroughly before starting the application.
    • It is advisable to apply early rather than waiting for the last date to avoid possible website congestion.
    • Keep GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026 details ready, including marks out of 100 and qualifying marks.
    • Application window: 10-04-2026 (1000 hrs) to 30-04-2026 (1600 hrs).
    • Required details such as GATE registration numbers (2024/2025/2026), address, experience (if applicable), percentage, valid email ID, and Aadhaar-linked mobile number should be kept ready.
  2. Documents Required
    • Photograph: JPEG format, maximum 50 KB, size 80 x 60 pixels (preferred 180 x 240 pixels).
    • Signature: JPEG format, maximum 20 KB, size between 80 x 100 to 160 x 560 pixels.
    • A valid email ID and mobile number should be used for all communication purposes.
  3. Registration
    • Complete registration by entering basic details including GATE information, personal details, category, and PwBD details (if applicable).
    • Login credentials will be sent to the registered email after successful registration.
    • The account should be activated using the link received via email.
  4. Fill Application Form
    • Login using the provided credentials and fill in all required details.
    • Enter personal information, educational qualifications, experience (if any), and GATE details.
    • Select the preferred interview city.
    • Upload the photograph and signature as per specifications.
    • Preview the application form carefully before final submission.
    • “Save and Next” or “Save and Later” options may be used to complete the form in multiple sessions.
    • No corrections will be allowed after final submission, so all details should be reviewed carefully.
    • After submission, the generated application number should be noted for future reference.
  5. Fee Payment
    • Application fee for General/EWS/OBC male candidates: 500.
    • Fee payment period: 10-04-2026 (1000 hrs) to 30-04-2026 (1600 hrs).
    • SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen and all female candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
    • Payment can be made through debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
  6. After Submission
    • The application process is considered complete only after all steps are successfully finished.
    • Application status can be checked anytime by logging into the portal.
    • There is no requirement to send a printed copy of the application to NPCIL at this stage.
    • Keeping a printed copy for future reference is recommended.
