NARL Recruitment 2026 Scientist, Junior Research Fellow 10 Posts Online Application

National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL) is accepting online applications from eligible candidates for 10 contractual posts of Scientist and Junior Research Fellow.Interested individuals must apply before 27-04-2026 after ensuring compliance with eligibility norms.

Scientist/Engineer 'SD', Scientist/Engineer 'SC', and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) are research-oriented positions at National Atmospheric Research Laboratory involving work in atmospheric and space sciences, including scientific analysis, experimentation, and project-based research activities. These roles focus on advanced research and development with responsibilities aligned to their respective levels and domains.

Vacancies & Eligibility Criteria:

Scientist/Engineer 'SD' 01 Ph.D. degree in Physics/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Earth Science/ Environmental Science or Equivalent from a recognized university/ institutions. and M.Sc. or MS in Physical Sciences/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Earth Science/ Environmental Science in First class with an aggregate minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/CPI grading from a recognized university/ institutions Basic Pay - Rs.67,700/- per month in Level - 11 (Rs.67,700 - 2,08,700/-) plus TA and HRA as admissible
Scientist/Engineer 'SC' 01 M.E / M. Tech Degree in RF & Microwave in First class with an aggregate minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/CPI from a recognized university/ institutions. and B.E/ B. Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or equivalent CGPA/CPI from a recognized university/ institutions Basic Pay - Rs.56,100/- per month in Level - 10 (Rs.56,100 - 1,77,500/-) plus TA and HRA as admissible
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 08 Post Graduate degree in the subjects : Physics / Atmospheric Science / Space Physics / Meteorology / Earth System Sciences / Geophysics / Remote Sensing / Applied Chemistry with Physics / Atmospheric Science / Space Physics / Meteorology as major subject. OR Any Specialization of Electronics Engineering / Communication Engineering / Optical Engineering / Photonics / Instrumentation Engineering. AND b) Qualified in CSIR-UGC NET / GATE / JAM / JEST validity wherever applicable.
Note :
(i) M.E./M.Tech degree should be with an aggregate minimum of 60% (average of all semesters) or equivalent CGPA/CPI grading from the recognized university. ii. M.Sc. degree should be with an aggregate minimum of 65% (average of all semesters) or equivalent CGPA/CPI grading from the recognized university.
For 1st & 2nd years: Rs.37,000/- per month. For the subsequent years: Rs.42,000/- per month
