Meghalaya Education Department (Meghalaya Education Department) is inviting application from eligible candidates for appearing in the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) to be conducted by DERT on 31-01-2019.

Interested and Eligible Candidates may fill their application for concerned examination by 10-12-2018. Before filling form, candidates must make sure that they meet the concerned eligibility criteria.

 

Vacancies & Eligibility Criteria:

Class I- V:

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with min 50% marks with 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE, Regulation 2002

OR

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks with 4-year B.El.Ed OR Higher Secondary with min 50% marks with a Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Graduation with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE, regulation 2002

Classes VI-VIII:

B.A/ B. Sc with 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education OR B.A/ B. Sc with min 50% marks with 1- year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) OR Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with min 50% marks and 4 year B. El. Ed OR Higher Secondary with min 50% marks and 4 Year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc. Ed OR B.A/B.Sc with min 50% marks with 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Mode of Recruitment :

After scrutinizing the application forms, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for written exam.

 

Fee Structure :

Only eligible candidates whose names will be displayed on the Notice Board of the office of the DERT/ Principal DIET’s/SDSEO’s are to submit the examination fee of Rs.300/- only and (Rs 150/- only for SC/ST) for each paper.ie, Paper-I (classes I-V) and Paper II (classes VI-VIII). The amount is to be deposited through Treasury Challan under the Head of Account “0202-Education, Sports and Arts and Culture-01-General Education-600-General-(01)-Examination Fees” within detailed estimates of revenues and receipts Vol-I, during 2018-19.

 

How to Apply :

Applicants can obtain application from offices on production of Treasury Chalan of Rs 10/- (Rupees ten) only for each paper ( Paper –I for classes I – V Paper –II for classes VI-VIII) deposited under the Head of Account “0202-Education, Sports and Arts and Culture-01-General Education-600-General-(01)- Examination Fees” within detailed estimates of revenues and receipts Vol-I, during 2018-19.

Candidates must fill all particulars in application form and send same to mention address along with related documents before the due date.
