Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board (MPPCB) has invited online applications for permanent recruitment to 14 posts of Assistant Engineer (Environment), with the last date to apply being 30-04-2026. The role involves environmental engineering work related to pollution monitoring, control measures, and regulatory compliance across the state. 21-40 years Post Graduate Degree (MTECH ) in Environmental Engineering from a recognized university with BTECH in Civil Engineering

Level-12 (₹56100 – ₹177500)

Approx inhand salary with allowances will be Rs 90000 per month

Notably, there will be 2 years probation period during which minimum pay (56100) shall be paid as stipend

  • Unreserved category Candidate must be born between 02-01-1986 to 01-01-2005 (both dates inclusive)
  • Upper age relaxation:
    • SC / ST / OBC (MP Domicile): Up to 45 Years
    • Women (MP Domicile): Up to 45 Years
    • Government / Corporation / Board Employees: Up to 45 Years
    • PwD: As per government norms
Nature of Post
  • Permanent post under Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board. There will be 2 years probation period.
Other Eligibility Conditions
  • Only MP domicile candidates are eligible for reserved categories. Candidates from other states can apply under Unreserved category only.
  • Qualification must be completed on or before last date of application (30-04-2026).

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process consists of two stages: Computer Based Test (CBT) and Interview.

Computer Based Test (CBT)

The CBT will be conducted through MP Online. The questions will be asked from the following topics:

  • Waste Water Treatment Technology System with Design
  • Design of Water Treatment System
  • Environmental Management
  • Recycling of Industrial Waste Water & Disposal
  • Environmental Chemistry
  • Air Pollution Sources & Control Technologies
  • Industrial Water & Waste Water Treatment
  • Solid Waste Management
  • Hazardous Waste Management
  • Laboratory Equipments for Sampling & Analysis of Environmental Parameters related to Air, Water, Noise, Solid Waste, and Hazardous Waste
  • Policies, guidelines, and regulations issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and relevant state-level rules
  • Sources and control of water, air, and noise pollution, along with management of waste and effluents
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs (with special reference to Madhya Pradesh)
  • Basic Knowledge of Computers, Information Technology, and Logical Reasoning

Interview

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their performance in the Computer Based Test. Up to three times the number of vacancies in each category will be called for the interview, which will be conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board.

Final Merit List

Final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the Computer Based Test and Interview. The weightage will be 80% for the test and 20% for the interview. In case of a tie, candidates having higher marks in the 10th class will be given preference.

Fee Structure :

The applicable application fee, as determined by MP Online, must be paid at the time of submitting the online application form.

How to Apply :

  1. Visit the MP online application portal and select “Not Registered? Create Account” to register a new account. Complete the registration by filing in required basic details and setting a username and password.
  2. Log in and access the Home Page, then open the “Profile Section” to fill personal details, qualifications, experience, and upload required documents.
  3. After completing the profile, click on “Running Application Forms” and fill the application form carefully.
  4. Pay the required application fee through the online payment option.
  5. After successful payment, check the application status and download or print the receipt from “My Filled Applications / Receipt”.
  6. Sending a printed application to MP Pollution Control Board is not required at this stage; however, keeping a copy for future reference is advisable.
