Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will consist of a Written Examination followed by Document Verification.

Written Examination

Written Examination will be conducted in objective type multiple choice question format. The question paper will be set in English language only. There will be negative marking, and one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer. The examination date and examination centres will be notified separately by the Board.

Document Verification

Candidates who will be shortlisted on the basis of merit obtained in the Written Examination will be called for Document Verification. At this stage, candidates will be required to produce original documents along with self-attested copies to verify age, educational qualification, domicile status, category status, and other eligibility conditions. Final Merit List will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the Written Examination, subject to successful Document Verification.

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • General / Open Merit category candidates: Rs. 600
  • SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS and PwBD category candidates: Rs. 500

How to Apply :

Application for the advertised posts is to be submitted online by following the steps given below.

  1. Candidates will register on JKSSB portal using a valid email ID and mobile number and complete OTP based account verification.
  2. After registration, candidates will complete the One Time Registration form and apply through the active advertisement section.
  3. Candidates will fill all required personal, educational and category related details carefully before proceeding further.
  4. Documents will be uploaded in the prescribed format as given below:
    • Recent passport size photograph with white background, size between 20 KB to 50 KB, dimensions 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm
    • Clear signature of the candidate, size between 10 KB to 20 KB, dimensions 1.5 cm x 3.5 cm
    • Valid category certificate, if applicable, to be uploaded in PDF format with maximum size of 100 KB
  5. Candidates will review all entered information carefully before final submission.
  6. After final submission, candidates will pay the application fee online using net banking, debit card, UPI or credit card.
  7. The application will be treated as complete only after successful payment and confirmation of fee status as submitted.
  8. No hard copy or printout of the application form is required to be submitted to Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board at this stage. Candidates may keep a copy of the submitted application form for future reference.
