IREL (India) Limited has invited applications for engagement of 30 Apprentices under Apprentices Act 1961, at its Rare Earths Division in Udyogamandal (Kochi). The last date for submission of online application and e-mail with scanned documents is 15-03-2026. Candidates are advised to carefully verify their eligibility criteria and ensure compliance with all prescribed conditions before applying.
The engagement includes Graduate, Technician and Trade Apprentices across various trades. Selected candidates will undergo one year of apprenticeship training in the respective department as per the notified trade and qualification.
The apprenticeship will be for a duration of 1 year. This training will enhance practical knowledge and strengthens career prospects in the relevant field, whether in IREL or other organizations, by providing valuable hands-on work experience and exposure to real-time industrial operations.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years as on 15-03-2026. Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years; OBC (NCL) – 3 years; PWBD – 10 years. Salary / Stipend: Stipend will be paid as per Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 as amended from time to time. In addition, apprentices will receive a food coupon valued at ₹1,500/- per month. No other financial assistance or benefits will be provided. Duration: The duration of Apprenticeship Training is 01 year for all trades under the Apprentices Act, 1961. |

Mode of recruitment :
Selection process will consist of preparation of merit list based on marks obtained in the specified educational qualification. In case of a tie, higher marks and then seniority by date of birth will be considered.
Candidates will be called for document verification in the order of merit and will be required to produce original documents along with self-attested copies. Shortlisted candidates will undergo detailed Medical Examination and Police Verification, before joining.
Fee Structure :
No application fee is required to be paid.

Candidates have to apply for the apprenticeship engagement through the prescribed apprenticeship portals and email submission process as detailed below.
- Applications will not be accepted without prior registration on the respective portal.
- Graduate / Technician Apprentices
- Must enroll on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) Portal of BOAT (SR) before applying.
- Graduate and Technician Apprentices must apply through Establishment Registration No. SKLERC000015.
- Trade Apprentices -
- Must enroll on National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) Portal of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
- Trade Apprentices must apply through Establishment Registration No. E11153200006.
- Graduate / Technician Apprentices
- The last date for submission of online application is 15-03-2026.
- Candidates must fill the application form in the prescribed proforma given in the notification (Annexure A).
- A scanned copy of the duly filled application form affixed with passport size photograph must be sent by email along with scanned self-attested copies of required documents.
- Docs Required -
- 10th Pass / Matriculation Certificate issued by the concerned Education Board or Birth Certificate issued by the concerned authority as proof of date of birth (no other document will be accepted for date of birth verification).
- 10th Mark Sheet.
- SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/Disability Certificate in prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority, if applicable. OBC non-creamy layer certificate must be valid and issued by the Competent Authority.
- Declaration Form by OBC-NCL candidates, if applicable.
- For Trade Apprentices: Semester-wise/year-wise mark sheets and ITI Pass Certificate in the respective discipline.
- For Diploma Apprentices: Semester-wise/year-wise mark sheets and Certificate of full-time Diploma in Engineering.
- For Graduate Apprentices: Semester-wise/year-wise mark sheets and Certificate of full-time Engineering Graduation Degree.
- Nativity Certificate.
- Aadhaar Card.
- Proof of Enrollment in the respective apprenticeship portal.
