| Project Description | This project focuses on the cutting-edge field of liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) in cancer biology. The research aims to investigate how p53 protein condensates contribute to drug resistance in colon cancer cells. By understanding the biophysical mechanisms that lead to p53 aggregation and sequestration, the project seeks to identify small molecules that can disrupt these condensates to restore p53 function and sensitize tumors to chemotherapy. This research is funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). |
