CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT), Bhubaneswar, is inviting applications for the engagement of Apprentice Trainees across various engineering and non-engineering disciplines for a total of 58 tentative vacancies. This engagement is purely temporary and on a contract basis for a fixed period of one year under the Apprenticeship Act 2025.
Candidates will undergo practical training to enhance their technical skills in a premier research environment, and they must ensure full compliance with all eligibility criteria, including registration on the NATS (Diploma/Graduate candidates) / NAPS (ITI Candidates) portals, before attending the walk-in-interview.
The selection process consists of walk-in-interviews scheduled for February 19 and 20, 2026, depending on the branch, and interested applicants must send a confirmation email by 11:00 AM on 18-02-2026. The training covers diverse fields such as Chemical, Mechanical, and Electronics Engineering, as well as various ITI trades and office management roles.

Mode of Recruitment :
Selection will be through a walk-in interview to be held on the respective dates as per the concerned trade. Candidates must report on the concerned date and time along with all original documents for document verification. After due verification of documents, candidates will be allowed to attend the walk-in interview.
Fee Structure :
No fee to be paid for this recruitment drive.
How to Apply :
To participate in the walk-in interview for Apprentice Trainee engagement at CSIR-IMMT, the following application process will be followed:- Ensure eligibility is fulfilled for the concerned discipline (Engineering Graduate / Diploma / Non-Engineering Graduate / ITI).
- Registration on the relevant apprenticeship portal will be required:
- Diploma / Graduate / Non-Engineering Graduate candidates will be advised to register on NATS 2.0 Portal
- ITI candidates will be required to register on NAPS Portal
- A confirmation email for participation will be required to be sent to the institute’s recruitment email ID latest by 11.00 AM on 18-02-2026.
- The prescribed application form (Annexure-I) will be required to be filled completely before reporting.
- Reporting at CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar for registration and document verification will be done as per schedule:
- Engineering Graduate / Non-Engineering Graduate / Diploma Engineering: 19-02-2026 (9.30 AM to 10.00 AM)
- ITI Candidates: 20-02-2026 (9.30 AM to 10.00 AM)
- All original documents will be required to be carried for verification at the time of reporting:
- Educational qualification certificates (HSC, +2, ITI, Diploma, Degree, as applicable)
- Birth / SSLC certificate
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Community certificate (if applicable)
- Experience certificate (if applicable)
- Other relevant original documents required for verification
- Self-attested photocopies of required documents will be required to be submitted along with the application form:
- 10th Mark Sheet and Certificate
- +2 / B.Tech / BA / B.Com / B.Sc / BCA / Diploma / ITI Mark Sheet and Certificate (as applicable)
- Aadhaar Card
- Caste Certificate / Disability Certificate (if applicable)
- Bank Passbook
- The walk-in interview will be conducted at 11.00 AM on the respective interview date in the Conference Room at CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar.
- Acceptance will be required to be submitted within 03 days, and joining will be required within 07 days after receipt of the engagement letter.
