Gujarat High Court Recruitment 2018 Translator 4 Posts Online Application



Gujarat High Court invites online applications from eligible candidates for filling up 04 Posts of Translator (Class-III) on permanent basis.

Interested candidates, who fulfilling eligibility criteria, may apply online from 16-03-2018 to 31-03-2018. Candidates must read all instruction carefully about eligibility criteria and keep ready their scanned copy of passport size photograph (5 c.m. height and 3.6 c.m. of width (15kb) and signature ( 2.5 c.m. height and 7.5 c.m. of width (15kb) in jpg format .

Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID and mobile number which should be kept active during the recruitment process.

Selection Procedure :

Aspirants will be shortlisted for Translation Test on the basis of information provided in application form. Translation Test from Gujarati to English language & vice versa of 100 Marks of 02:30 Hours duration.

 

Structure of Fee :

Application fee of rs.250/- Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially & Educationally Backward Classes, Differently Abled Persons (PH) and Ex-Servicemen and Rs.500/- for all other candidates is to be paid through SBI e-Pay or Cash-Challan (Offline).

 

How to Apply :

Interested candidates possessing required eligibility may apply online from 16-03-2018 to 31-03-2018. Before filling online form, candidates should read all instruction carefully as mentioned in notification.

Candidates should enter all correct and necessary detail in online form and upload their scanned copy of passport size photograph and signature. After successful completion of online form , candidates must take a print out and future reference.

Candidates who have interest to get the position of District Judges in Gujarat High Court should apply online from 01-04-2018 to 30-04-2018. Candidates must go through notification carefully and satisfy themselves of their suitability with regards the essential qualifications for the posts and the age limits before filling online form.

Date of Viva-voce Test (Personal Interview): October/ November, 2018.

 

Selection Procedure :

Selection will be based on Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination and Viva–voce Test (Personal Interview).

Preliminary Examination (Elimination Test) based on a Computer Based (Online) Examination System will consist of 2 Papers - (each of 100 Marks & 2 Hours’ duration.

Syllabus for Preliminary Exam: Paper-I: Law (100 Marks-2 Hours ) . Paper-II : English, General Knowledge & Awareness (100 Marks – 2 Hours). The candidates who secure 50% and more Marks in the Preliminary Examination (Elimination Test), shall be eligible for being called for the Main Written Examination.

Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type) shall consist of Two Papers - (each of 100 Marks & 3 Hours duration).

Syllabus for Main Written Examination:

Paper – I (100 Marks – 3 Hours)

  • (a) The Indian Penal Code, 1860
  • (b) The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973
  • (c) The Indian Evidence Act, 1872
  • (d) The Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988
  • (e) The Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985
  • (f) The Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989

Paper-II (100 Marks – 3 Hours): (a) The Constitution of India (b) The Code of Civil Procedure, 1908. (c) The Indian Contract Act, 1872. (d) The Specific Relief Act, 1963. (e) The Transfer of Property Act, 1882.

(f) Succession Laws, Personal Laws (Hindu, Muslim & Christian) (g) The Intellectual Property Laws (h) The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (i) The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (j) The Electricity Act, 2003.

(k) The Right to Fair Compensation & Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013 (l) The Family Courts Act, 1984 (m) Basic Laws relating to Environment - - The Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. - The Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972.

(ii) Paper Style for Main Written Examination:

Paper : I (Criminal) & Paper : II (Civil), each shall consist of Two Parts :- Paper-I (Criminal) Part : I (50 Marks) : Answer to Questions, Short Notes, Précis Writing, Translation from English to Gujarati. Part :II (50 Marks) : Judgment Writing (Sessions Case) Paper-II (Civil). Part : I (50 Marks) : Answer to Questions, Short Notes, Assertions/Reasons, Translation from Gujarati to English. Part : II (50 Marks) : Judgment Writing (Civil Appeal).

Those candidates who will be get qualified in written test, are only called for Viva-voce Test will be of 50 Marks.

 

Fee Structure :

Application fee of Rs.500/- for SC / ST/ Disabled Persons and Ex-Servicemen and Rs.1000/- for General Category is to be paid by SBI ePay or Cash-Challan (Offline).
