Delhi High Court has invited online applications for the Junior Judicial Assistant / Restorer (Open) Examination 2026, which aims to fill 152 vacancies. This is a permanent Group B post under Level 6 of the Pay Matrix, and the last date to submit the online application is 23-02-2026.

Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process will have four stages: Preliminary Examination (CBT Objective Type), Main (Descriptive) Examination, English Typing Test, and Interview.
Stage-I: Preliminary Examination (CBT Objective Type) (Qualifying Stage)
Eligible candidates will be required to appear for the Preliminary Examination (Computer Based Test). The Preliminary Examination will have 120 questions in total and will consist of three parts. Total marks will be 120 and the total duration will be 120 minutes.

Each question will carry 1 mark. Every wrong answer will attract a penalty of 0.25 marks.
The qualifying criteria for the next stage will be 60 marks (50%) for unreserved candidates and 45% for reserved category candidates.
Out of the successful/qualified candidates of Stage-I, candidates up to fifteen (15) times the number of vacancies advertised in each category will be called for the next stage - Main (Descriptive) Examination.
Stage-II: Main (Descriptive) Examination
The Main (Descriptive) Examination of English Language will consist of two parts. Total marks will be 100 and the total duration will be 120 minutes.

Minimum passing marks will be:
- General Category: 50% (50 marks out of 100)
- Reserved Category (including PwBD): 45% (45 marks out of 100)
Out of the successful/qualified candidates of Stage-II, candidates up to six times the number of vacancies advertised in each category will be called for the next stage - English Typing Test.
Stage-III: English Typing Test (Qualifying)
The Typing Test of ten (10) minutesā duration will be conducted on computers to assess candidatesā minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English typing on computer.
The criterion of ācharacters with spaceā for calculating the typing speed will be adopted. The total number of mistakes permissible will be 3% of the total words typed, which will be rounded off to:
- 0.5 in case of 0.01 to 0.49
- 1.0 in case of 0.51 to 0.99
All the successful/qualified candidates of Stage-III will be called for the next stage - Interview.
Stage-IV: Interview
The maximum marks for the interview will be 15 marks and there will be no minimum qualifying marks in the interview.
Final Merit and Tie-Breaking
There will be no rounding off of marks at any stage. The final merit list will be prepared by adding the marks secured by candidates in Stage-II Main (Descriptive) Examination and Stage-IV Interview only, while Stage-I (Preliminary Examination) and Stage-III (English Typing Test) will be qualifying in nature.
In case of a tie in marks, it will be resolved by applying the following methods:
- Total marks in Stage-II Main (Descriptive) Exam.
- If the tie still persists, the candidate scoring more marks in Interview will be given preference.
- If tie still persists, the candidate older in age will be given preference.
Fee Structure :
- Fee will be Rs. 1500 for General/OBC-NCL/EWS and Rs. 1300 for SC/ST/PwBD (plus transaction charges).
- Payment will be accepted online through UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card.
How to Apply :
Candidates will be required to apply online by completing registration, filling the application form, uploading the required documents, and submitting the form before the deadline. The step-by-step process will be as follows:
- Candidates will register for the online application using their email ID and mobile number, and must note down the system-generated registration/application number for future reference.
- Documents Required:
- Candidates will upload a scanned colour passport-size photograph in JPEG format (100 KB to 200 KB). The photograph must not be more than three months old from the date of publication of the Notice of Examination. The image dimensions should be approximately 3.5 cm (width) Ć 4.5 cm (height). The photograph must be without cap/mask and spectacles.
- Candidates will upload their left-hand thumb impression in JPEG format (50 KB to 200 KB). If the left-hand thumb is unavailable, the right-hand thumb impression may be used.
- Candidates will upload their scanned signature in JPEG format (50 KB to 150 KB). Applications with illegible or blurred signatures will be rejected.
- The last date and time for submission of online applications will be 23-02-2026 (11:00 PM). The fee can be paid up to 11:55 PM on 23-02-2026.
- Before final submission, candidates must ensure that all details have been correctly filled in each field of the application form.
- Correction Window:
- After the closing date, a correction window of three (03) days will be provided for modifying application parameters as required. The correction window will close on 27-02-2026 (8:00 PM).
- Candidates will be allowed to correct and re-submit the modified application up to two times during the correction window. No further corrections will be permitted.
- Candidates will not be required to send any printed copy of the application to the Delhi High Court at this stage. However, they may keep one copy for future reference.
