Coal India Limited Recruitment 2026 Industrial Trainee 125 Posts Online Application
Coal India Limited is inviting online applications on a contract basis for a total of 125 Industrial Trainee (CA/CMA) positions across its headquarters and subsidiary companies. Interested candidates can apply up to 15-01-2026, after ensuring that they fully comply with the prescribed eligibility conditions.
The engagement is purely for training purposes, as part of Coal India's annual exercise of engaging 125 industrial trainees on contract basis. The role involves assisting in finance, accounts, costing, and related professional work aligned with CA/CMA training requirements within Coal India Limited and its offices.

Candidates must have passed the Intermediate Examination of Chartered Accountant (CA) conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India OR the Intermediate Examination of Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Candidates who have already undergone similar industrial training for one year or more in any PSU are not eligible. |

Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process will consist of application scrutiny, preparation of merit list based on marks, preference-based allocation, and document verification.
Application Scrutiny
All submitted online applications will be scrutinized based solely on the documents and information uploaded by the candidates at the time of registration. Only those applications found in conformity with the prescribed eligibility conditions will be considered for further stages.
Merit List Preparation
The merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained by candidates in the Intermediate Examination of CA or CMA, considering the total marks of both groups, as applicable.
Preference and Reservation Consideration
Selection will be carried out in accordance with Govt reservation norms. Preference will be given to eligible Land Owners and wards of employees as per the prescribed guidelines. Candidates will be required to provide preferences for posting across Coal India Limited and its subsidiary companies - CIL (HQ), ECL, BCCL, CCL, CMPDIL, NCL, MCL, SECL & WCL.
In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit order. If the tie still persists, the candidate who has scored higher marks in Class X will be ranked higher.
A waiting list of 125 additional candidates will be prepared following the same reservation norms. In the event of non-joining or shortfall in the main list, candidates from the waiting list will be offered engagement category-wise.
