Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to 34 vacancies across various executive, trainee and non-executive posts. Interested candidates must submit their applications before 14-03-2026.

The recruitment includes technical, engineering, management and administrative roles responsible for activities such as product development, electronics and software design, project execution, sales and marketing coordination, and organizational administration across CEL’s operational domains.

Central Electronics Limited (CEL) is a Mini Ratna PSU working under Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology. It works in areas such as solar photovoltaic systems, railway signalling systems, strategic electronics, and security & surveillance technologies, and develops advanced electronic products through its research and development activities.

Mode of Recruitment :

Selection Stages will comprise of Written Examination, Document Verification & Personal Interview / Trade Test / Practical Examination.

Written Exam

Part II Aptitude Test 40 Questions from General English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness
  • Duration of the written examination will be 2 hours.
  • The question paper will be Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions) with four options for each question.
  • Each question will carry 1 mark.
  • Incorrect or multiple answers will result in negative marking of ΒΌ mark.
  • Candidates will need to score minimum of 50% marks in written examination for shortlisting to the next stage.
  • Relaxation of 10% in minimum qualifying marks will be applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates against reserved posts.
  • Shortlisting for the next stage will be done in the ratio of up to 1:5 against available vacancies in the respective category.

Personal Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be called for detailed document verification and Personal Interviews. Minimum qualifying marks for interview will be 65% for Unreserved candidates, 60% for EWS/OBC candidates, 55% for SC/ST candidates and 50% for PwBD candidates. Call letters for attending the Personal Interview and document verification will be sent to email mentioned in online application form.

Trade Test / Practical Examination

For non-executive posts, candidates shortlisted after document verification will undergo a Trade Test or Practical Examination. Minimum passing marks will be 40% for Unreserved/EWS/OBC candidates and 35% for candidates from reserved categories where applicable. Call letters for test and document verification will be made available on website.

Final Merit List

The final merit list will be prepared based on the following weightage criteria depending on the post.

  • Candidates meeting the qualifying criteria will be shortlisted for empanelment on a category-wise basis according to number of vacancies.
  • In case of equal marks, the tie breaker will be based on age (higher age placed higher), followed by marks in Part I of written test and then marks in interview or trade test (whichever applicable).
  • Selected candidates will undergo a Pre-Employment Medical Examination and appointment will be subject to medical fitness.

Fee Structure :

  • SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: No Application Fee
