| Project Name | Effect of Seasonal Emesis (Vasanthik Vamana) on Metabolic, Inflammatory, and Microbiome Markers in Apparently Healthy Adults – An Exploratory Randomized Controlled Study |
| Project Description | This project focuses on the scientific validation of Vasanthik Vamana (seasonal therapeutic emesis), a traditional Ayurvedic detoxification therapy performed during the spring season. By studying healthy adults in a randomized controlled trial, the research into community health and traditional medicine aims to see how this ancient practice changes biological markers like cholesterol, blood sugar, and the bacteria in our gut (microbiome). This project is funded by CCRAS, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India to ensure that our nation leads the way in merging traditional wisdom with modern clinical science. The goal is to provide a better treatment for our national health standards by exploring how seasonal cleansing reduces inflammation and improves metabolism, helping the whole community enjoy a more stable and healthy future. |
