Calcutta High Court is inviting eligible candidates to apply online for 14 permanent posts of LDA, DEO, Stenographer and Group D (in Commercial Court). Interested and eligible candidates may apply online on or before 16-02-2025 , after making sure that they meet the concerned eligibility criteria.

Mode of Recruitment :
The examination will be conducted in two phases:
- Phase I: The Preliminary Examination will be conducted for a duration of one and a half hours. This examination will carry a total of 100 marks, with each question worth 1 mark. The question paper will consist of multiple-choice objective questions covering English, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, and Arithmetic. Please note that there will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer.
- Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will be eligible to appear for Phase-II.
- Phase II: This phase will consist of two parts:
- Part I: This part will be a conventional descriptive-type examination focusing on English (Group-A) and will carry 50 marks. The questions will include letter writing, paragraph writing, and translation.
- Part II: This part will be conducted in either Bengali or Hindi (Group-B) and will carry 50 marks. The questions will include letter writing, translation, and report writing. The duration of Part II will be 1 hour, and the examination will be subjective in nature, set at the Madhyamik standard.
- Candidates who opt for Hindi instead of Bengali in Part II will be required to pass a Departmental Examination in Bengali during their probation period before confirmation.
Fee Structure :
Application fee of Rs 600/- (Rs 450/- for EWS candidates) is to be paid online using debit card, credit card or net bankig.

The candidate should fill out the online application with all of their personal and educational information in the proper sections, according to their certifications.
