Kalpakkam (Tamil Nadu) based PSU Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI) has invited applications for 1 year contract-based Trade Apprentice engagement for 50 vacancies, under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Interested candidates must submit their applications on or before 16-03-2026.
The engagement is for apprenticeship training in various technical trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, COPA and others. Selected candidates will undergo structured industrial training at BHAVINI, Kalpakkam, where they will gain practical exposure to maintenance, operations, and technical support activities associated with nuclear power plant systems. Apprenticeship training enhances future employment prospects in related fields as it provides valuable hands-on experience.
BHAVINI operates under Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), and is responsible for constructing, commissioning, and operating Fast Breeder Reactors (FBRs) to generate electricity.

Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process consists of shortlisting of candidates based on their ITI marks followed by verification of certificates and eligibility documents. Candidates will be shortlisted for apprenticeship training based on the marks obtained in their ITI standard/course and trade competency. Candidates must produce all original documents and certificates supporting their educational qualifications, category claims and other eligibility conditions.
There will be no written test.
Fee Structure :
No Application fee is required to be paid by the candidates.
How to Apply :
Interested candidates may apply for this apprenticeship by following the step-by-step process given below.- First complete registration for Apprentice enrollment on NAPS portal (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) and obtain the Unique Enrollment ID.
- After registration, complete Aadhaar verification on the Apprenticeship portal. Take a screenshot of the Aadhaar verified proof of enrollment, as this screenshot must be attached with the application.
- Download the Application Form (Provided in official notice) and Fill it carefully.
- Write the following on the outer cover of the envelope - APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF TRADE APPRENTICE against Notice No. BHAVINI/HR/TA-IV/2026-2027.
- Affix a recent passport size photograph in the space provided in the application form.
- Attach self-attested photocopies of the following documents along with the application:
- Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets (10th, 12th if applicable).
- ITI certificate and mark sheet.
- Conduct certificate from two Gazetted Officers or from the concerned institution.
- Aadhaar card.
- Recent passport size photograph.
- Screenshot copy of Aadhaar verified proof of enrollment on the Apprenticeship portal.
- If applicable -
- Other qualification or experience certificates.
- Community certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
- PWD certificate.
- EWS certificate.
- Send the duly filled application form with photograph and all supporting documents to: Sr. Manager (HR), Recruitment Section, Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI), Kalpakkam-603102, Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu, so that it reaches on or before 16-03-2026.
