BBMB Recruitment 2026 Hindi Translator 6 Posts Online Application

Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has announced 6 regular openings for the post of Hindi Translator. These are permanent positions involving translation duties and implementation of official language policies.

Selected candidates will be placed on probation for three years and may be posted at various locations within the board's operational areas. The roles are suitable for post-graduates with a strong command over both Hindi and English. Last date to submit online application is 29-03-2026. Fee payment can be done by 31-03-2026.

  • Minimum 3 years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in any Government / Semi-Government organization or reputed daily newspaper.

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will consist of Written Examination (Part-I and Part-II) followed by Document Verification.

Written Examination

The written examination will be conducted in two parts with a total duration of 120 minutes.

Part-I (Objective Type Test)

This part will be conducted on OMR based answer sheet. Each question will carry 1 mark and 0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Minimum qualifying marks in Part-I will be 40% for UR/EWS candidates and 35% for OBC/ST candidates. Only those candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying marks in Part-I will have their Part-II paper evaluated.

Part-II (Descriptive Type Test)

This part will be descriptive in nature.

Minimum qualifying marks in Part-II will be 45% for UR/EWS candidates and 40% for OBC/ST candidates. The final merit list will be prepared by adding the marks obtained in Part-I and Part-II category-wise.

Document Verification

Candidates equal to five times the number of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for document verification based on the merit of the written examination.

Tie Breaking Rule

If two or more candidates secure equal marks in the final merit list, the tie will be resolved in the following order:

  • The candidate with higher age will be placed higher in merit.
  • If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate securing higher marks in Part-II (Descriptive Test) will be placed higher in merit.

Fee Structure :

A non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000 is applicable for UR, OBC, and EWS candidates. For Scheduled Tribe (ST) applicants, the fee is reduced to Rs. 500. This amount must be paid online via the recruitment portal's payment gateway.

How to Apply :

Applications are accepted through an online registration system followed by the submission of physical documents, with detailed process as shown -

  • Apply online through the official recruitment portal by completing the registration process. During registration, candidates will provide basic details such as name, email ID, mobile number and other required information.
  • After registration, log in using credentials and fill the online application form with personal details, educational qualifications, experience and other required information.
  • Upload the required documents, photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  • Carefully review all entered details before final submission of the application form. Last date to submit the online application form will be 29-03-2026 up to 11:59 PM.
  • Candidates will also be allowed to edit or modify the submitted application form up to 29-03-2026 till 11:59 PM.
  • After final submission, pay the application fee through online mode.
    • Last date to pay the application fee is 31-03-2026 up to 11:59 PM.
    • Application fee will be Rs. 1000 for UR / OBC / EWS candidates and Rs. 500 for ST candidates.
  • After successful submission and fee payment, candidates will download and keep a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
