BEL Recruitment 2026 Trainee Engineer, Trainee Officer (Kotdwara Unit) 51 Posts Online Application

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, is inviting applications for temporary/contract-based engagement for a total of 51 posts across Trainee Engineer-I and Trainee Officer-I positions for its Kotdwara Unit (Uttarakhand). Last date for online pre-registration is 15-01-2026, and test will be held on 25-01-2026.

The roles involve supporting BEL’s defence and professional electronics projects, including engineering execution, technical assistance, project coordination, and finance-related functions, with postings at Kotdwara Unit and other project locations across India as per organizational requirements.

Age Relaxation
  • SC/ST: 5 years relaxation.
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years relaxation.
  • PwBD (minimum 40% disability): 10 years relaxation in addition to category-wise relaxation.
  • Age is calculated as on 01-01-2026.
Nature & Tenure of Engagement
  • All posts are on temporary/contract basis.
  • Initial contract period is 2 years, extendable by 1 additional year based on project requirement and performance.
  • Trainee Engineer / Officer who has completed tenure of 02 years within BEL, may be considered for advancement to Project Engineer-I/Officer-I (for upto 4 years) in the same unit subject to performance. In such case, retention bonus of Rs 1 lakh will be payable at the end of 04 Years, along with salary.
Salary Progression
  • Rs. 30,000 per month for 1st year.
  • Rs. 35,000 per month for 2nd year.
  • Rs. 40,000 per month for 3rd year (if contract is extended).
  • Additional consolidated allowance of Rs. 12,000 per year towards insurance, attire, footwear, and related expenses.
Domicile / Language Requirement
  • No state domicile requirement.
  • Candidates from all states of India are eligible to apply.
Final Year Eligibility
  • Candidates must have completed the required qualification. Final year / result-awaiting candidates are not eligible to apply.

  • Written Test Date (for eligible and shortlisted candidates): 25-01-2026

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will consist of Online Pre-Registration, Written Test, and Document Verification, conducted in the order mentioned below.

Online Pre-Registration

Interested and eligible candidates will pre-register online to express their willingness to attend the walk-in selection, on or before 15-01-2026. Candidates who do not complete online pre-registration within the prescribed timeline will not be allowed to participate in the selection process.

Written Test

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and whose online applications are accepted will be provisionally shortlisted to appear for the Written Test. No separate call letter will be issued for the Written Test.

The Written Test will be conducted on 25-01-2026 at Bharat Electronics Limited, Kotdwara Unit, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Candidates will report at the venue at 09:00 AM.

Document Verification

Candidates who qualify in the Written Test will be shortlisted based on merit, category-wise and discipline-wise, and will be called for Document Verification. Shortlisting for this stage will strictly depend on performance in the Written Test.

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • General / EWS / OBC (NCL) Candidates: Rs. 177/- (Rs. 150/- application fee + 18% GST)
  • SC / ST / PwBD Candidates: Exempted from payment of application fee

      9. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued on or after 01-01-2025 (if applicable).
      10. EWS certificate issued for the year 2024-25 on or after 01-04-2025 (if applicable).
      11. PwBD disability certificate issued by a competent authority, showing minimum 40% disability (if applicable).

  4. Application Fee Payment

    • Pay the applicable application fee online, if required.
    • Note down the SBI Collect Reference Number generated after successful payment.

  5. Final Submission

    • Verify all entered details carefully before final submission.
    • No corrections will be allowed after submission of the application.

  6. After Submission

    • Take a printout of the submitted online application form and keep it for future reference.
    • Bring the printed application form, original documents, self-attested copies, and payment receipt while appearing for the written test on 25-01-2026.
    • No application printout or documents are required to be sent by post to Bharat Electronics Limited at this stage.
    • Candidates may retain one copy of the application form and documents for personal records and future use.
