The research aims to perform high-resolution genetic screening on individuals presenting with clinical symptoms of chromosomal imbalances, such as developmental delays, congenital malformations, or reproductive failure. The work involves specialized laboratory techniques to visualize the structure and number of chromosomes, helping to create a regional database of chromosomal aberrations (e.g., Down syndrome, Turner syndrome, or translocations). This project is funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). |
