Advocate General Punjab invites online applications from eligible candidates for 71 posts of Clerk cum DEO and Steno Typist on permanent basis.
Interested Candidates who fulfill all eligibility criteria may apply online on or before 09-05-2018. Candidates must read all instruction carefully about eligibility criteria and keep ready their scanned copy of passport size photograph and signature Size of file should not exceed 50 KB (jpg/jpeg format).

Mode of Recruitment :
Selection For the post of Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator: Selection of the candidates for the post of Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator will be done in two steps. Step “ 1 will be the written test. 15 times of the category wise no. of posts candidates will be called for step “ 2 i.e. skill test.
Written test will contain 100 multiple choice questions of one mark each. The paper will be of 120 minutes’ duration. There will be negative marking (1/4th marks shall be deducted for every wrong answer).
Skill test for Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator (typing test on computer):
- Total Time for Punjabi Test=10 Minutes
- Total Time for English Test=10 Minutes
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit in the written exam to be conducted first. Candidates will have to clear both the Punjabi as well as English typing test. Punjabi typing test will be based on Raavi Unicode font only.
In English typing test, the candidates have to achieve a net speed of at least 30 words per minute. The candidates, who qualify the English typing test, shall only be allowed to appear in 2nd typing test in Punjabi.
In Punjabi typing test, the candidate shall be required to have a minimum gross speed of 30 words per minute. 8% mistakes are permissible in the Punjabi typing test.
Weightage of Written test “ 85% Weightage of Interview “ 15%.
For the post of Steno-typist: Selection of the candidates for the post of Steno-typist will be made on the basis of skill test, interview. Skill test will be held in English language only.
Candidate will have to perform proficiency in English stenography at the speed of 80 W.P.M. and Transcribe at a speed of 15 W.P.M. Time English Stenography: 5 minutes. Time English Transcribe: 27 minutes.
Fee Structure :
Application fee of Rs.150/- for SC / BC/ ESM , Rs.300/- for Handicapped and Rs.600/- for all other candidates is to be paid by online or through bank challan in any of the State Bank of India branch.

Interested candidates having required qualifications may apply online on or before 09-05-2018. Before filling online form, candidates should read all instruction carefully as mentioned in notification.
Candidates must fill all detail carefully in the online form and upload their scanned copy passport size photograph and signature. After successful completion of online form ,candidates should take a print out of the online form and keep for future use only.
No need to send print at this stage.
