AAI Recruitment 2026 – Senior Assistant & Junior Assistant (North Eastern Region)
Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invited online applications for 14 Non-Executive posts including Senior Assistant (Electronics), Junior Assistant (HR), and Junior Assistant (Fire Services) for various airports in the North Eastern Region. Only candidates who are domicile of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura are eligible to apply. The last date for submission of online applications is 11-01-2026.
Job Role:
Senior Assistant (Electronics): Responsible for operation, maintenance, and technical supervision of airport communication, navigation, and electronic systems. The role involves handling technical equipment and ensuring smooth functioning of electronic infrastructure.
Junior Assistant (HR): Responsible for assisting in human resource administration, maintaining employee records, office coordination, and handling computer-based documentation and MS Office-related tasks.
Junior Assistant (Fire Services): Responsible for airport fire safety operations, emergency response, rescue services, operation of firefighting equipment, and driving fire vehicles as per prescribed safety standards.

Age relaxation will be applicable for SC/ST, OBC (NCL), PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Ex-Agniveers, and other eligible categories as per Government of India norms. Age, qualification, and experience will be reckoned as on 06-12-2025.
Selection Process:
- Computer Based Test (CBT) – Duration: 2 Hours
- Computer Literacy Test (for Junior Assistant HR – qualifying in nature)
- Document Verification
- For Fire Services: Physical Measurement, Medical Test, Driving Test, and Physical Endurance Test (PET)
The Physical Endurance Test (PET) for Fire Services includes 100m running, casualty carrying, pole climbing, rope climbing, and ladder climbing. PET is qualifying in nature (minimum 60/100 marks required). Final merit will be prepared based on CBT marks.

- Women / SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen / AAI Apprentices (1 Year Completed): No Fee
Fee must be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or other available digital modes. Application fee once paid is non-refundable.

- Complete the online registration using a valid personal email ID and mobile number.
- Fill in the application form carefully with correct personal, educational, and experience details.
- Upload scanned recent passport-size photograph and signature in prescribed format.
- Upload required supporting documents such as educational certificates, domicile certificate, category certificate, and driving license (where applicable).
- Preview the application form carefully before final submission. No changes will be allowed after submission.
- Pay the application fee online (if applicable).
- Submit the application and keep a printout of the submitted form for future reference.
