UPCISB Junior Manager, Cashier and Various Posts Recruitment 2026 - Complete Details

Lucknow based UP Co-operative Institutional Service Board (UPCISB) has invited online applications for 116 permanent posts under Combined Co-operative Banking and Technical Services Examination (Special Recruitment) 2026, with last date to apply being 15-04-2026. Posts are to be filled under select District Co-operative Banks across state and UP State Construction Co-operative Federation Limited (Lucknow).

Notably, this recruitment drive is exclusively for Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classess of Uttar Pradesh.

The recruitment includes posts such as Manager, Junior Manager, Assistant/Cashier, Assistant/Typist, and Assistant Engineer, primarily involving banking operations, clerical work, financial management, and technical execution in concerned co-operative institutions. These roles focus on handling day-to-day banking services, administrative tasks, and technical responsibilities depending on the post.

Participating District Co-operative Banks (DCBs) are those based in Bijnor, Lakhimpur Kheri, Saharanpur, Shahjahanpur, Rampur, Farrukhabad (Fatehgarh), Aligarh, Muzaffarnagar, Jalaun (Orai), Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Rae Bareli, Etah, Jhansi, Mainpuri, Mau, Agra, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Sitapur, Bahraich, Jaunpur, Lalitpur, Unnao, Barabanki, Pratapgarh, Hamirpur-Mahoba, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur.

Mode of Recruitment :

Selection process will include Online Examination (Preliminary Examination, if required, followed by Main Examination), Interview (for Manager, Junior Manager and Assistant Engineer (Civil)) and Proficiency Test (for Assistant/Cashier/Typist posts).

Preliminary Examination (if required)

If the number of applications exceeds the prescribed limit, the examination will be conducted in two stages: Preliminary and Main Examination. Only candidates qualifying in the Preliminary Examination will be eligible for the Main Examination. Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be considered for final merit.

Main Examination

Junior Manager, Assistant Engineer (Civil)

Assistant/Cashier (Banking Assistant) / (Clerical Staff) & Assistant/Typist

• Each question will have four options. For every wrong answer, 1/4 (25%) marks will be deducted.
• If more than one answer is marked, it will be treated as incorrect. No negative marking will be applied for unanswered questions.
• Minimum qualifying marks: 35% for SC/ST and 40% for other categories in Main Examination.
• Question papers will be available in English and Hindi.
• Candidates must carry admit card during examination, along with a valid photo ID Proof (Ration card and learner's driving license will not be valid).
• Shortlisting:
  • Up to 15 times vacancies for Main Exam
  • Up to 3 times vacancies for Interview
  • Up to 5 times vacancies for Proficiency Test

Interview

Candidates applying for Category-1 and Category-2 posts (Manager, Junior Manager, Assistant Engineer) will be called for an interview based on Main Examination performance. Final merit will be prepared based on marks obtained in Main Examination and Interview.

Proficiency Test

For Category-3 posts (Assistant/Cashier/Typist), candidates will have to appear in a proficiency or skill test where applicable. Final selection will be based on marks obtained in the online examination and proficiency test.

Fee Structure :

Application fee must be paid through online mode only. Fee structure :

• Other Backward Classes (OBC) of Uttar Pradesh: ₹500/-
• Scheduled Caste (SC) of Uttar Pradesh: ₹250/-
• Divyangjan (PwD) of Uttar Pradesh: No Fee.
• Notably, This Examination fee is fixed for one stage. If two stages are conducted, fee will be payable separately for Preliminary and Main Examination.

How to Apply :

Please follow the steps below carefully to complete the online application process.

• Keep the following documents ready before starting the application:
• Photograph (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm)
• Signature (in black ink)
• Left thumb impression
• Handwritten declaration (in English, black ink, small letters only)
• Document specifications:
• Photograph: 20 KB – 50 KB, 200 × 230 pixels, clear face, light/white background
• Signature: 10 KB – 20 KB, 140 × 60 pixels
• Thumb Impression: 20 KB – 50 KB, 240 × 240 pixels, 200 DPI
• Declaration: 50 KB – 100 KB, 800 × 400 pixels, 200 DPI (capital letters not allowed)
• Scanning instructions:
• Minimum 200 DPI resolution
• Use true colour mode
• Save files in JPG/JPEG format
• Adjust file size using crop and resize options if required
• Visit the official website and click on “New Registration”. Enter the required name, contact details, and email ID.
• A Registration Number and Password will be generated and sent via email/SMS. These should be preserved for future reference.
• All details must be verified carefully before final submission, as no changes will be permitted after completion of registration.
• The name and father’s/husband’s name must match exactly with official documents.
• Click on “Validate Your Details” and proceed using “Save and Next”.
• Upload photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications.
• Fill in all remaining details in the application form.
• Preview the complete application form before final submission.
• After completion of the form, the application fee is to be paid through the available online mode, as applicable.
• No hard copy of the application is required to be sent at this stage.
