Much-awaited Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Assistant Recruitment 2026 has been announced. This year, RBI is offering employment for 650 Assistant posts in its various zonal offices across the country. The last date to submit the application form is 08-03-2026. Before applying, applicants must carefully check and ensure full eligibility compliance as per the prescribed criteria.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
Candidates provisionally shortlisted from the online Main Examination will have to undergo a Language Proficiency Test, which will be conducted in the Official / Local Language(s) of the State concerned (as mentioned above). It will be of qualifying nature.
Additional Notes about tests
- Candidates will have to qualify in each part of the Objective test separately.
- Candidates will have to select the exam centre corresponding to the office applied for. Bank may also allot any Centre other than the one the candidate had opted for.
- There will be negative marks for wrong answers in both Preliminary and Mains tests. 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- An adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank will be shortlisted from Preliminary Examination (approximately 10 times the number of vacancies) and from Main Examination (approximately 2 times the number of vacancies), subject to availability, based on aggregate marks scored.
- Final selection will be based on candidates’ performance in online examination (in order of merit), qualifying in LPT, medical fitness, and verification of certificates.
Fee Structure :
Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -
- SC/ST/PwBD/EXS: ₹50/- plus 18% GST (Intimation charges only)
- GEN/OBC/EWS: ₹450/- plus 18% GST (Application fee including intimation charges)
- RBI Staff: No Fee
How to Apply :
To apply for RBI Assistants Recruitment 2026, candidates are required to complete the online application process by following the step-by-step instructions given below.

- A valid personal email ID and mobile number must remain active until the completion of the recruitment process.

- Open the recruitment section and access the online application for the concerned post during the submission window.
- Click on “Click here for New Registration” and enter:
- Name
- Contact details
- Email ID
- A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated and shared via SMS/email.
- The application form should be filled carefully. The “SAVE AND NEXT” option may be used if completing in multiple sessions.
- Upload the photograph, signature, thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as per the prescribed format.
- Complete all remaining application details properly.
- Use the “Preview” option before final submission.
- Click “COMPLETE REGISTRATION” only after confirming all details, as no changes will be allowed after this step.
- Proceed to the “Payment” tab and pay the required fee through online mode only.
- After successful payment, click “Submit” to complete the application process.
- Only one office may be opted for. The test centre (Preliminary & Main) must be within the same state as the selected office.

- After the closing date, an “Edit Window” of 2 days will be provided.
- Correction is allowed only once, and only in limited fields such as:
