The selection process will consist of a recruitment test followed by an interview. Both stages are designed to evaluate the knowledge, skills, and overall suitability of the candidates for the role.
Fee Structure :
Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment.
Except Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates are exempted from payment of fee.

Preliminary/Stage-I Examination of the Engineering Services Examination : 08-02-2026
Mode of Recruitment :
The examination will be conducted in three stages to assess candidates through objective tests, conventional papers, and a personality assessment. Each stage is designed to evaluate different skills and knowledge areas relevant to engineering services.
Stage I: Preliminary Examination
This stage consists of two objective type papers with a total of 500 marks. Candidates who qualify in this stage will be eligible for the Main Examination of the same year, subject to other eligibility conditions. Marks obtained in Stage I will be counted for preparing the final merit list.
Stage II: Main Examination
The Main Examination includes two conventional type papers related to the chosen engineering discipline. Each paper carries 300 marks, making a total of 600 marks.
Stage III: Personality Test
Candidates who secure the minimum required marks in Stage I and Stage II, will be called for the Personality Test. This stage carries 200 marks.

Stage III (Personality Test):
The final stage is the Personality Test, which carries 200 marks. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in Stage I and Stage II as per the minimum qualifying standards fixed by the Commission.
Fee Structure :
Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 200. The payment can be made by depositing the amount at any branch of State Bank of India or through online options such as Visa, Master, or RuPay debit or credit card, UPI payment, or internet banking of any bank.
Female candidates, as well as those belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories, are exempted from paying the fee.
