UPSC Recruitment 2025 Indian Forest Service Examination 2025 150 Posts Online Application

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting eligible candidates to apply online for Indian Forest Service Examination 2025. After ensuring that they meet the relevant eligibility requirements, interested and qualified candidates may submit an online application by 21-02-2025. Candidates should submit all pertinent personal and academic data. Mode of Recruitment :

The competitive examination will consists of two stages:

  • Preliminary Examination: Objective type examination for screening candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination.
  • Main Examination: Includes a written test and interview for final selection of candidates against available vacancies.

Preliminary Examination:

  • Comprises two objective-type papers of 200 marks each (total: 400 marks).
  • The General Studies Paper-II is a qualifying paper, requiring a minimum of 33% marks.
  • Both question papers are set in Hindi and English.
  • Marks in the Preliminary Exam are not considered for the final merit list.
  • About 12-13 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

Fee Structure :

Candidates, except those belonging to the categories of Female, SC, ST, or Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (who are exempted from paying the fee), are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- . The fee can be paid using any of the these methods:

  • By remitting the amount in cash at any branch of the State Bank of India (SBI).
  • Through Net Banking facility of any bank.
  • Using Visa, MasterCard, RuPay Credit/Debit Card, or UPI Payment options

 

How to Apply :

Candidates need to fill out applications only through the provided online facility by the due date of 21-02-2025. Candidates should fill in all required details carefully in their online applications. The online application should also include a personal email address and phone number. After the final submission of an online application, a copy should be printed out and kept for future use.

Mode of Recruitment :

The examination will be conducted in two stages as outlined :

Part-I: Written Examination (500 Marks)

The written examination will consist of two papers, with each paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks. The duration for each paper will be two hours. Candidates will be required to attempt both papers as part of the assessment process.

Part-II: Personality Test (100 Marks)

Candidates who qualify based on their performance in the written examination will be shortlisted for the personality test. This stage will carry a total of 100 marks and will assess the candidate's overall suitability for the position, including communication skills, problem-solving ability, and confidence.

 

Fee Structure :

Candidates (Except Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay of fee of Rs. 200/- either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment.
