| Project Description | This socio-economic developmental project aims to uplift Scheduled Caste (SC) fish farmers in the drought-prone districts of Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri. By providing modern aquaculture technologies, high-quality fish seeds, and essential farm inputs, the project seeks to transition traditional fishing into a sustainable livelihood. The initiative focuses on enhancing pond productivity, diversifying fish species, and ensuring food security through scientific management. It is funded by the ICAR-National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources (NBFGR), Lucknow, under the SCSP component. |
