SVNIT Surat Recruitment 2026 Assistant Engineer (Civil) 1 Post Application Form
Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat (SVNIT Surat) has announced a recruitment drive for 1 contractual post of Assistant Engineer (Civil). Interested candidates must submit their applications by 23-03-2026.
The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring the execution of civil works and maintenance, supervising construction project sites, planning, designing, estimating, tendering, and preparing bid or tender documents on GeM or CPPP portals. The headquarters of the appointee shall be at Surat. The engagement is initially for a period of 11 months, which may be renewed further subject to institute requirement and satisfactory performance of the candidate.

| Project Description | This SERB-funded project addresses a critical safety gap in modern infrastructure: the structural integrity of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) during fire events. While UHPC is exceptionally strong, its dense microstructure makes it susceptible to explosive spalling and complex Transient LITS (Load-Induced Thermal Strain) at high temperatures. The research focuses on the Transient Creep behavior—the additional deformation that occurs during the first heating cycle under load. The work integrates high-temperature experimental testing with sophisticated Numerical Simulations to model coupled heat and mass transfer, predicting how UHPC columns will deform or fail during a fire. |
