| Project Description | This project focuses on how the "skin" or membrane of a cell affects the way special sensors, called GPCRs, send messages to the rest of the body. By studying a specific part of these sensors known as the TM4 helix, the research into community health and chemistry aims to understand how changing the fats and proteins in the cell membrane can change how medicines work. This project is funded by the SERB (Core Research Grant), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India to ensure that our nation stays at the forefront of biological discovery. The goal is to provide a better treatment for our national research standards by showing how the cell's environment controls its behavior, helping the whole community enjoy a more stable and healthy future. |
