| Project Description | This project focuses on the advancement of sustainable urban infrastructure and resource recovery. It aims to achieve an energy-conservative approach toward sewage water treatment by integrating it with power generation and desalination. The research explores how exoelectrogenic bacteria and algal biocathodes can work together to clean water while producing renewable energy. This study is being conducted at NIT Tiruchirappalli under the DST-WTI scheme. |

| Qualification | - For JRF: M.E/ M. Tech in Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering or M.Sc. in Microbiology or any other appropriate/relevant specialization selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR – UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE OR through National level examinations.
- For M.E/ M. Tech in Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering or M.Sc. in Microbiology or any other appropriate/relevant specialization. Knowledge in the area of wastewater treatment using Microbial Fuel Cell / Bioelectrochemical System are preferred.
