| Project Name | Design and development of Audio Sensor and Data Acquisition Systems (Part of the consortium project “ML-Enabled RISC-V based i-LoRa SOC for Forest Event monitoring”) |
| Project Description | This project focuses on building special ears for the forest using advanced microphones and sound sensors to listen for important events like falling trees or animal movements. By creating a system that can collect and understand these sounds, the medical research into environmental health aims to protect our natural forests from harm. This project is funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, under the Chips to Start-up (C2S) Programme to ensure the nation has the best technology for nature conservation. The goal is to provide a better treatment for our national forests by using smart chips that can alert rangers instantly, helping the whole community enjoy a more stable and protected environment. |
| Duration | Initially 02 (Two) years as JRF, thereafter continuation as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) till the completion of the project. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project. |
