| Project Description | This research examines how biological clocks and gut bacteria influence brain health during long-term infections. It focuses on the parasite Toxoplasma gondii and how it disrupts the communication between the immune system and the nervous system. The study aims to find out how the timing of body processes and the presence of certain microbes can lead to brain inflammation or dysfunction. By understanding these drivers, the work helps in finding new ways to treat chronic infections that affect behavior and mental health. This research is funded by ANRF. |
